Indian Restaurants

Recommended Posts

My father isin Aberdeen tomorrow for some work based shenanigans so I'll be having dinner with him, so I was wondering what people's favourite Indian restuarant in Aberdeen is?

Personally, I think the Light of Bengal is probably my favourite, but variety is the spice of life, or something along those lines...

Shabaaz is good.

I like Nawwab. I think thats what it's called on Summer Street. Although they should warn people about eating the chilli's whole.

Light of Bengal is really nice too.

I second Nazma or the Jewel in the Crown. Both lovely jubbly. We went to Kury on King St last night, it was nothing special. Quite disappointing, good job I was hungry though.

Kurri Lounge on John St, next to Ambassadors is ace....or Blue Moon.

Both are excellent, although I thought the staff in Blue Moon (Holburn) couldn't get you out the place quick enough.

The Kurri Lounge (NOT to be confused with the awful Kury on King Street) is ace and has really interesting decor - more bistro than curry house.

The staff are excellent as well.

it's all about the Shahbaaz. Absolutely tremendous. Chicken Qandari, pilau rice, peshwari naan and three pints a Kingfisher. Yes boss

love from christy

I agree with both of these.

Was in Kurri Lounge last week, fantastic stuff as usual.

I like Blue Moon for a takeaway.

I have to agree with the folk that have said Cinnamon. Absolutely gorgeous food. It's the best Indian I've been to in Aberdeen. Also the staff are really lovely and add really nice little touches like giving women roses as they leave the restaurant. All these things make a visit to Cinnamon well worth it and a good experience.

I went just before Christmas and they gave me a car calendar as a Christmas gift, magic.

Can't beat Light of Bengal, although its neighbour Sheepsbas is good as well.

I am going to Jewel In The Crown tonight. I will report back tomorrow. Over.

Jewel in the crown was good, as always. Bit disappointed with the service though last night - forgot parts of our order on a couple of occasions.
