  1. Static in the City and Theatrefall play Liquid nightclub (of all places) tonight, September 27th 2007. ~A new "indie" night Liquid are hosting - but not promoting - promises to be a busy good atmosphere with 1 drinks! Maybe not everyones choice to see a band but come along and give it a shot, promises to be good. Static in the City will be playing to impress after a poor performance at their last gig at the Tunnels (anyone who attended will understand). Check us out at www.myspace.com/staticinthecity for tunes. I'm afraid I'm a merely the SitC drummer and don't really know all the details but thought I should put something up anyway. cheers, Dallas of SitC
  2. False. If I use anything it's "gum" or "wax" or "paste" or something. Curly heed you see. TPBM is fond of boobies

    Your current read?

Well I'm currently meant to be studying from "Economics" by Parkin, Powell and Matthews as I have a presentation to do at midday tomorrow. It's actually quite interesting if you're a "saddo" as they say. Or if you're a keen intelect like I'm sure many of you are. Me though, I want a bloody pint of lager really badly. ...and again for impact: Really badly.
  4. I've got two now! Should probably change my profile. Look out for Static in the City
  5. You think yours is nice? I've got a Premier Cabria with Paiste 502s so stick that in your pipa and smoke it!
  6. "The Prayer" is not a good song IMO. The guys voice is shockingly bad and if ever there was a song that just goes nowhere, it is this one. I didn't really like their first album either but that song that often comes on in exodus where the guitar pans between speakers on every beat - "cos I'm on fire" ("banquet" maybe) - is definitely a cracker. Good drummer, shit singer.
  7. There's a place on the street that that crap club Opium is on - just near liquid - called Gourmet Karma. By far the best indian food I've ever had.
  8. It's definitely a good idea, or at least it's definitely not a bad idea. Something about "Aberdeen doom and gloom". Absolutely agree. My band would be interested but havn't recorded anything yet as we're fairly new. Maybe in a couple of years!
  9. Bill Hicks makes me sick to my stomach. What a horrible bastard he is, he's just so fucking conceited and - at a stretch - supercilious. Maybe I'm not as bright at all you folk that like him, maybe I just dont get it, but I really despise him and he makes me feel sad; not happy like a comedian should. This upsets me as he was a huge influence on Tool - who are one of my very favourite bands - and I feel like a bit of a "cop-out" for this reason. I agree with him on many points (religion as an example) but I think he sholud have had slightly more respect for other people. Que arty-farty folk: "but he's expressing himself, he speaks the truth man!" Fair enough but shh. anyway. Bill Bailey makes me laugh out loud, the Mighty Boosh, Billy Connelly (Connely/Conelly), Lee Evans, Reeves and Mortimer yadayadayada. Saw Andrew "King of Comedy" Maxwell at The Lemon Tree and thought he was pretty funny as well.
  10. You'd still gee her a dunt though.... no?
  11. Natasha Kaplinsky from 6 o'clock news! Also, Rachel from Neighbours is fine with a prolonged "i" sound.
  12. Song of the year: Makedamnsure - TBS Album of the year: Pearl Jam - Pearl Jam Best gig: Pearl Jam on holiday in Barcelona. Best gig ever! Number of travels:What? Number of hearts broken: 4 Best moment this year: My nephew's birth. Worst moment of the year: My gran being ill. Best sexual moment: Fresher's week as a whole. Best tv show: Scrubs. Best party: too many to decide. Most embarrasing moment: My birthday party. Was most happy when: With my 3 best mates singing "Animal" at the top of our lungs in Barcelona. Honestly, best gig ever. Was least happy when: Guy from my school died in car crash.
  13. Having seen Biffy 5 or 6 times I'm going to give it a miss and save my pennies for Incubus and Brand New. They will both be amazing gigs (I hope in Brand New's case). Hey Ben, how's the geogy revision coming along. Dallas x
  14. I agree, Mer De Noms has some good tunes but I can't listen to it all. I find some of it boring I suppose. 13th Step on the other hand: Absolutely magic.
  15. Shite. It's really boring and as Hog stated: "uninspiring TV for the masses". Like most telly then. You know, I was channel flicking the other day and noticed that 3 out of 5 of the terrestrial channels were showing programmes where "celebrities" are doing something they don't ussually do. Two of them had these C-list celebrities bloody singing! Tess "bang my mouth" Dailly was hosting one where the celebrity teams up with an actual singer to do a duet (just like the Strictly Dancing one) which was unbelievably cack. This funny looking guy and some opera chick did a song from Phantom of the Opera which was truly awful. Needless to say I quickly turned it off and went upstairs to hurt myself. The third one was celebrity Big Brother. People, don't watch this stuff. It merely encourages this farcical celebrity culture that we live in today (i.e. look at that bird from Atomic Kittens new pencil. It's a steadtler! Can you believe it? She got it in WHSmith most likely to write with). Obviously there's no stopping it but, well, make an effort or something. Yeh so, Deal or No Deal. Shit.
  16. 'mon the FK. I'll be there with sexy underwear on so the whole experience is even more erotic. Guinea Pig's have scary teeth and in some countries they're a delicacy.
  17. In absolutely no order: 1. Matt Cameron (Pearl Jam/ Soundgarden) 2. Travis Barker (Blink 182) 3. Danney Carey (Tool) 4. Chad Smith (RHCP) 5. Dave Grohl (you know him) wait.... 6. Taylor Hawkins (Foo Fighters) 7. Jimmy Chamberlin (Smashing Pumpkins (although he's a cunt)) 8. Joey Jordison (Slipknot) 9. Bobby Schayer (Bad Religion) 10. Nick Schoely (My Mind's Weapon) ok, so 2 top fives.
  18. Going back to Banchory for 3 weeks to do the following: 1. Se my friends, family & dog 2. Buy Pro Ev 6 and play that a lot 3. Frequent the stag 4. Buy Smackdown vs Raw 2007 and play that a bit 5. Work the odd shift at my old work. 6. Study for my exams in January 7. Try and have sex a lot. It's going to be about 10% work and 90% play; according to my calculations. Can't wait! Now backto my investment and finance report.
  19. "I'd give her a dunt" "Seriously meaty" "Yer Ma" "Your Mum goes to college" Will post more when i think of them
  20. Just finished my first practice there ever and it was cool. booked another one. I'd say some things about Tom's are better but some things about MV are better. Think we're just going to alternate, whichever one has a suitable time.
  21. Has anyone seen "Brotherhood of the Wolf"? It's a french action movie and it has some great stuff in it. I'm not dismissing an interesting plot when I say it's not entirely thought-provoking, but the fight scenes are just totally........... I'm gonna say it................................... AWESOME! Mark Dacascos and Samuel Le Bihan make an awesome team with nice gritty fighting from the latter and impressive kung-fu from Dacascos (one time American and European karate champion, or something). See this movie, it's cool.
