I loved it when Shilpa said to Jade after recieving a flood of crap from her about how Shilpa's not famous in the UK, "this is all you are" (indicating to big brother).

Poetry.

Perfectly put - "this is all you are" - I love it.

Ms Shetty will be having my babies soon.

Goody and her entourage are the manifestation of everyting that's wrong with Britain at the moment - and I'm not just referring to the alledged racism - it's the whole crassness package. Fame and wealth gained without effort, talent, contribution or discipline.

Were are a nation of famous chavs, neds and imbeciles. So very, very sad ;(

Great Britain my crusty anus

In the last Irvine Welsh book one of the characters was pointing out how crap Heat magazine was, and the lassie that bought it says something like, "It's just a bit of fun, it's not going to change the world."

The other gut replies "It already has - for the worse."

Can't say I've been watching Big Brother, but I'm loving the irony that Big Brother created Jade Goody's "career" and Big Brother's going to take it away again.

Tempted to vote for the first time everto get her out, would be great to see the look on her face when she exits the house to a huge chorus of boos.

Oh, and I bet Sheringham dumps Danielle, he's not going to want that kind of publicity.

I am going to vote against Jade too, which is funny because I have never watched BB before.

Shilpa pawns.

I loved Jades witty response to Shilpa "The thing that made me famous is you" em........ok, what a fantastic retort.

Apparently Big Brother are giving the profits from this weeks vote to charity. Fucking shameless, giving the impression that charities are some sort of swear jar.

Is that actually happening? I saw the wifey from Liberty suggest it on Question Time last night.

I have an awful feeling that Ms Goody is going to kinda get away with this. Ideally of course she would be ostracised from all strata of society and disappear forever, but a surprisingly large section of society are too forgiving/forgetful for that. She's quite clearly been tipped off one way or the other by Big Brother that she may have said something she shouldn't have, so she's trying to make amends already. She's media-savvy enough to know to do that. And when she does get booted out (no crowds tonight, apparently) her massive PR team - 'coincidentally' the same agents as Davina, Dermot, Russell etc etc - will have her all over the press and TV doing 'her side'. Concentrating on the more easily defended racial charge, rather than the fact that she is simply a vile vacant bully. Prepare for a Heat cover story of her 'horror' that any would believe she was a racialist, after all her Dad was black, some of her bestest friends etc etc. She has supposedly already been offered a TV special of a trip to India, to meet the people and get them to understand her a bit better...

She needs now to be universally ignored for the good of us all. We should stop celebrating stupidity. Not gonna happen though.

You took the words right out of my mouth, Mr. Jack. Sadly I can foresee several months worth of "My racist nightmare: Jade's story", "Jade hits back at allegations", "Jade opens her heart and asks for forgiveness", "India, innit": Jade's new TV series", etc etc etc.

Having watched much of the past week's action, it is clear that this woman is not merely racist and ignorant, but a genuinely repugnant and nasty human being. Hopefully a rainforest's worth of Heat and OK! specials won't change that very obvious public perception.

incidentally, what were the chances of Jermaine Jackson turning out to be the most ordinary and pleasant of the celebrities on offer in this year's series?

The public has been banned from tonight's Celebrity Big Brother eviction due to the "heightened feelings" surrounding the programme, organisers have said. The move follows fears that Jade Goody could be attacked by a hostile crowd following her alleged racist bullying of Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty.

Hundreds of people who hold tickets for tonight's show will be invited to attend the next eviction instead.

Media watchdog Ofcom says complaints from viewers about the race row have soared to more than 38,000.

That, friends, is the biggest disappointment of my day. Call me a voyeuristic and primeval boor if you will, but I was SO looking forward to watching Jade's career fall apart in a chorus of boos, banners and flying bottles.

Channel 4: you've let me down.

Jade has apologised to Shilpa, insisting she is not a racist and said she regrets any offence that she has caused.

But the south Londoner, who is favourite to get the boot, is facing fresh controversy after branding her rival "Shilpa Poppadom" and will apparently be taken to a safe house by police when kicked out.

oh jade, who would have known you could get any more disgusting than we already thought you were.

Everyone seems to have missed out one of the most startling moments of ignorance of the whole series. When Jo was speaking about Shilpa's apparent tendency to undercook food she said "That's probably why they're all so skinny in India, because they keep throwing up from the raw food".

I think it's the only time I've actually made this exact face o_O

It's a total farce. I'm fed up of all the allegations etc. I don't think for a minute that Jade is actually a racist, she's certainly not the brightests of sparks and has just chosen what she's saying very badly. I do think that she is a bully though and should have been reprimanded for her actions on that front, but to suggest that the main reason for the bullying of Shilpa is because of her race is just naive. Obviously the other females feel threatened by her as a person because of her standing both in/out of the house, they feel intimidated by her and are jealous and are clearly behaving in a normal female manor by bitching about her behind her back and being catty and confrontational with her.

I absolutely abhor this overly pc climate that we live in where a few badly chosen words can ultimately lead to someone being branded a racist and having their life endangered.

You're all fucking animals.

You're all fucking animals.

I don't understand why people seem to be seperating ignorance and racism into two seperate piles. It is very much possible that Jade Goody is both thick as shit AND racist.

She's a lot smarter than she lets on, and she was incredibly quick to play the braindead bitch card when she got given into trouble.

Apparently the producers took her into the diary room last night and let her know exactly what was happening on the outside, I guess that's why she is now apologetic.

But Alkaline, calling her "Shilpa Poppadum" isn't racist? o_O
