  1. Can't really answer your question, but my strat has lace sensors. Haven't really played it much, but they do sound ace and I don't think I'll ever really need another guitar.
  2. Junky, by William S. Burroughs
  3. Oh yeah, that was dire aswell. Just recalling how bored I got watching that. Really quite bored. Once the characters were all introduced, it was just a case of progressing towards an end everyone could basically see. The cheesy 'heart-warming' bits aswell: the 'fat-woman-with-big-voice-and-personality'..
  4. I thought it funny that the character Andy was trying to take the noble road by breaking free from the chains of his popular show - and its tired catchphrases - whilst the special itself was really a tedious and often cringey same-fest.
  5. I've been getting up at 5am for the past week to work in M&S; I feel about as christmassy as a sheet of paper - not even wrapping paper. Tracing paper maybe, or even toilet paper. There's truly nothing worse than middle-aged checkout wifies and miserable, spinster supervisors. Utterly demoralising, though at least it's only a temporary contract!
  6. Not 'cunt' necessarily. Any word of derogatory status. In effect, 'Paki' is a more specific version of [insert a nasty word - you chose 'cunt'], that negates the need for a supportive expletive. 'Cunt' however, is not dependent on skin colour, and calling someone a Scot is not insulting. The two must be combined - 'Scots cunt' - to achieve what the mighty 'Paki' commands alone!
  7. The word Scot doesn't imply cunt. The word Paki effectively does.
  8. Gary Dempsey when I was working at Perth Racecourse - got him a good seat in the restaurant. Craig Brown when I was singing in a school choir competition in Dundee. I told him he should pick Joe Miller for Scotland. That's more or less it
  9. Graham Spiers is about the only one on that programme who isn't a virtual spastic. Some of the almost-arguments can be funny in their lame-duck impotency, or when John Colquhoun minces his words: 'Killie were simply class-outted today'.
  10. I'm just surprised someone can be so sensitive to simple, trite language from a cabby. Particularly an ex-labour MP.
  11. And stupid old bastards are stupid old bastards. There's no hope for him, why bother pestering? What would be achieved, were he prosecuted?
  12. Taxi drivers of his age, at this time, will always have these thoughts; frightening them into keeping their traps shut serves no positive purpose, other than as a reminder of the widening mistrust between members of this society.
  13. Scotsman.com News - 'Racism' on trial… or a hammer to crack a nut? What are your views? I'm pretty sure there was a time when people took taxi drivers to court if they didn't lump all of society's problems onto minorities.

    Boxing

Wouldn't banning boxing be more indicative of an over-protective, interfering society that holds little respect or trust for its subjects? Whatever your perception of the working class is (and the distinctions are there, though the term is getting old), should the sport of the multitude be curtailed by the higher intellectual ambitions of the few? I think we should be wary of restricting long-running traditions that people partake of in their own will, and hark of a basic nature long smoothed over by 'civilisation'. Sport is about the closest us drones get to any sense of our roots!
  15. It puts images in my head of neo-nazis bumping around against each other in a barn somewhere. That or the Priory in an adventurous moment. Same thing really. It doesn't sound like any other DnB I've heard, in that the beats seem far less busy.
  16. Someone is playing Pendulum on the Uni radio right now. It's shit. I've never heard bass sound so spasticated.
  17. Ah come on, his voice is brilliant! Oh, could probs link this back to the Doric / airport greeting debate. Dialects have specific functions..see song.
  18. But presumably free and fatten it first.. Such base cruelty. Its even worse than that Micheal Jackson video with the snapshot of the seal being smashed. That used to pain me.
  19. That's horrible. That one with the people all standing around seemingly indifferent...
  20. Wierd. I've actually got both those albums. Can't have enjoyed them very much.. I can see myself getting into Drum n Bass in the future, when I get bored of what I'm listening to now I'd imagine. It's sort of like a potential new friend, who's a bit older and smokes fags.
  21. I quite like the general feel of it. Will probably check back to see what else you put up at some point.
