  1. its not that great but i dont think its as bad as everyone else thinks
  2. maybe he wont need anymore surgery and wont remember the incident, being left only with a strange aversion to dogs. hopefully o_O
  3. maybe he got it second hand in the first place don't think many people round here will be able to use 100 watts of valves though.
  4. highly doubt perry farrel and nuno bettencourt playing been caught stealing could be bad
  5. most of the 'tributes' i've seen basically take the piss out of him, and glasgow hard cases in general
  6. hateevent? pretty sure he works in r & b music
  7. track 2 is awesome. track 1 and 10... not so good. it doesn't say on the site which tracks bettencourt played on and which were the guests (e.g. fruciante)? that would've been awesome if these guys played janes addiction songs live, wish i'd payed more attention to his band. should probably reserve judgement until i've had time to listen to all the tracks, but doesn't seem anywhere near as good as the panic channels album. panic channel also sounds way more like janes addiction, interestingly
  8. my wee sister told me you were quite good god knows hows shes heard of you though
  9. yeah he did 8-) look at the ammount of views, comments and favourites
  10. yeah the two songs sound nothing like each other, except the chorus is the exact same... blatant pagiarism obviously, no chance otherwise that such a cheesy couple of lines could ever be conceived twice. ever. as bodast said, who cares anyway: the rubinoos song is way better, they get more publicity and thus sell more records.
  11. if i'm spending hundreds on an instrument i would definitely like it to look good. i wouldn't buy a great looking guitar that sounded shit but, unless it was a great deal on a particular guitar you may as well get something that looks cool. the idea of having mirrors in guitar shops is pretty depressing though. sounds a bit spinal tap...
  12. i heard charlie griffiths plays (guitar i assume) in anchorhead? impressive if you beat them
  13. yeah the only time i found a definite answer to the question 'how often should you change strings' was 3 months at the very least. cant remember where i read that, probably a guitar magazine. i usually change mine about once a month, although i've not changed my current set for ages (they sound shite now...). personally i really like the brightness of new strings. i use ernie ball hybrid slinkies. i tried d'addario once, didn't really notice any difference.
  14. yeah i wouldn't say it was nazi slave labour, just slave labour
  15. don't know of any, i've only seen double (or triple...) neck guitars o_O
  16. stating the obvious, but i'd be furious if i'd worked a month for free
  17. ok well in there they just play whatever is in the charts... 'the bonnie banks o loch lomond' as i said, pretty sure i've heard that in there at the end o_O don't know who sings that version of it. also, they almost certainly play that proclaimers song '500 miles' which is also vaguely scotland related...
  18. hmm do they not always play that song about loch lomond at the end of the night in the priory? crap club anyway, you don't want to tell people you spent your time in there, that's pretty depressing o_O
  19. i doubt he even knows what hes trying to say
  20. argh, and the tracks i've heard that i like on myspace, are often not demo tracks at all but actually going to be on 'albums' or 'eps' (again, probably not exclusively so) very helpful contribution to the discussion there o_O
