  1. ah well, maybe it was just me
  2. i liked it; wouldn't say it was hard to understand either... yeah the physics are completely unrealistic but is's sci-fi...
  3. yeah i vaguely remember trying to read this years ago. made it a few chapters in before deciding it wasn't going to get any better...
  4. have you read any of his others? cause kafka on the shore isn't so good imo... its the only book of his where i thought he was just being wierd for the sake of it
  5. as someone said you could probably get 2 or 3 hundred quid for that gold on ebay. you'd think the guy could have got someone decent looking for that
  6. wasn't 'we need to talk about kevin' on the list? i read that a couple of years ago, great book. seriously depressing though
  7. yeah i've read all his books (that you can get in britain anyway). the best imo are 'wind up bird' and 'norwegian wood'; 'after the quake,' is great. so's 'the elephant vanishes' and 'south of the border west of the sun'. a lot of people love 'hard boiled wonderland and the end of the world' but not one of my favourites... shame his last couple ('sputnik sweetheart' and especially 'kafka on the shore' have been pretty crap
  8. bought the gold off ebay probably. wonder why she didnt just do that o_O
  9. yep i had something like that after i had root canal treatment that got infected afterwards... fucking hell it hurt
  10. i think all the school shootings they've had already brought the question up.
  11. music fans are just obsessed with making lists. usually its just 'best' bands, albums, guitarists etc rather than all bands
  12. im guessing the offensive stuff got deleted
  13. i agree just to stick them all together, since you're just after a bit of feedback. if you were to form a band, the other members would bring on board their influences anyway
  14. ah the outro! i think its supposed to be 'good time to roll on' o_O
  15. yep, i think its: 'cowboy king of the rodeo, let the good times roll, let the good tiiiiimeessss..... roll.' or something. i like both albums, especially the first one; every song on 'youth and young manhood' is great. i think they used 'holy roller novocaine' on an episode of the shield ages ago... awesome nice to see i'm not the only one who doesn't have them lumped in with the strokes etc... although i suppose that's only bad if you don't like the strokes 8-)
  16. is that the guy from art attack? o_O
  17. the reason limp bizkit 'surprisingly' have some good songs is imo because wes borland was a pretty inventive guitarist, regardless of how annoying durst was.
  18. yeah i wondered why/how youtube gets away with having all those copyrighted clips
  19. not surprised it's illegal. wouldn't worry, nobody's going to sue you for one cd, of course. incidently, with regards to the mega drive ROMs, i'd guess they were illegal even if you owned the games, since most ROM sites tended not to last very long, as far as i found... although emulators were easy to get oddly enough.
  20. probably someone interested in buying vintage amplification would know enough about amps to know the difference between a brand new amp made in china, and a vintage one and what the approx asking price for each should be... besides, if triggs or any seller is unhappy about 'thread hijack' they can just have the posts deleted.
  21. yeah liberty city is a sort of parody of new york.
  22. myspace player wouldn't load, as usual. awesome player though, the tracks i heard of the last couple of albums were great i learned to play zugg island convict a while back
  23. i'm not in touch with the guy anymore, don't think he's even in the country any more o_O OP edited
