By not mentioning anything about paying money in advance. I've ended up with a heap of tickets (money which I presumed would just go to the venue, then divvied up to promo company) and a request for a 100 cheque. Fuck that, i've not signed anything so i'm gonna send them back.
iForward Russia! were a brilliant and exciting band to watch, loved every minute of it. Missed the first band on, and thought the second were absolutely awful.
The Automatic are definitely a band to look out for. Top notch. However, I thought Hard-Fi were utter shite. Didn't enjoy their set nor the atmosphere which at times did seem a bit hostile.
Aye, fair enough. I'm listening to a City Ghosts song right now, it started sounding like China Crisis for a minute! I'd like to say now that the best band from Wakefield are The Cribs, followed by the Research
Ahem. I've seen the Paddingtons 3 times now and I haven't seen such a band put so much energy into their music. Fair enough they may not be that tight a band but at least they can play their instruments with a degree of comptence (sid vicious, anyone?), and they have got good songs which are catchy. In my opinion they're one of the best new band sin Britain.
I thought it was one of the best gigs i've seen at the Tunnels. Credit to the security guy there for being pretty relaxed about crowdsurfers and stuff, although he was pretty pissed off at the end! Nice change of venue as well - thought they played better at the Tunnels than their previous two Kef outings. Great gig!
Hemmin, you know what I mean. Tell that to the people who didn't join in with our 'One Drew McConnell' songs at the start Ahem, Walden co-wrote The Man Who Came To Stay. Great song. Ergo - Walden = not a knob.
