  1. Indeed there is, wank wank wank They are really rubbish. If I want to see a half decent stage performance with crap props i'll go and see the Flaming Lips, thank you very much.
  2. Both utter piles of wank IMO, overrated to the extreme. I couldn't see a band like that in a massive arena with a novelty stage show and call it good punk rock.
  3. I thought Ghostride were appalling. The bass player looked like a pro wrestler as well After hearing some stuff I though HIFH would be quite bad: the oppositie was the case. Very good stage show, some good tunes as well. Biffy were fantastic, didn't think the sound was that bad at all. I seem to remember them being marginally better at the last gig at Moshulu, but that's probably nit picking. All in all, a good night
  4. Will have a bit of that, indeed!
  5. Spot on. No point trying to look cool, just makes you look like a prat. And no, that's not from experience......
  6. Hope so! Any ideas of when it i, etc? Last year's one was incredible
  7. Totally agree with that. More originality and self-belief is scheduled over the next few months methinks.
  8. Surely thats a bad thing, no? If a band are techinally inept and pretty darn bad then whats the point of giving them false hope? Aberdeen doesn't have a good enough music scene to warrent anyone giving them a major record deal, and that's my honest opinion. *edit* I've realised that will come across really badly, and there's a hell of a lot of bands I aint seen, but I still stress that the majority i've witnessed have never blown me over as to the extent that they warrant a major deal.
  9. at least they had a singer though!
  10. Aberdeen actually has a scene???
  11. Fifty To A Pound by The Paddingtons. Great band
  12. Really appalling line up in my opinion, the worst being the ovrrated, cliched joke headlining on Sunday.
  13. JFK were robbed Seriously though, a good time was had by one and all, all bands gave a good account of themselves.
  14. Yup, I know someone too. Spends all day drinking, smoking and getting no work done whatsover. That'll be me in a few years, can't wait
  15. I like antifolk stuff, maybe going as far as saying i'm an antifolk artist myself (maybe) - I'm really into folk like Adam Green, Jeffrey Lewis and the Moldy Peaches. ...
  16. Thee Unstrung are mighty good - they're playing Kef in March.
  17. Yeah, I've played with them at a young band showcase. Pretty good live band, but not really my kind of music.
  18. DEFINITELY going now, can't believe I missed them at their last Aberdeen gig.
  19. Hurrah! I shall probably be ther eon Sunday to cheer you all on. Congratulations on getting to the final!
  20. Alright Ben, finally got round to registering You guys were amazing for your first show, shame I couldn't manage Kef. When's the next one?
