  1. because sticking rude headlines on packages is wacky and zany and thats what rock and roll is all about! The recipient is guaranteed not to sigh heavily and think "fuck sake, not another bland demo from some cunts who think they are wacky and zany but probably haven't left school yet and can't play for shit." Anyway, a question to everyone else, what is wrong with a plain old jiffy bag containing a CD-R which has your contact details written on it in marker pen? Why try corny attention grabbing tricks which will create preconceptions and expectations before the CD is even played, when you can send a generic non-descript package which simply allows the music to do all the talking and probably carries an air of understated professionalism that would earn you more kudos than if you sent some tatty sticker festooned package that reeks of schoolboy humour?
  2. well ring-a-ding-ding, woop-de-fucking-woo
  3. ASDA (Walmart) is an evil behemoth that destroys local economies, not to mention the fact that most of the "food" they sell is utterly disgusting low-grade shit that I wouldn't even feed to animals. Also, the clientele usually live in council houses and wear tracksuits and you might catch a disease if you breath the same air as them.
  4. as far away from Aberdeen as possible perhaps?
  5. This one wants to give you a hug! http://artpad.art.com/gallery/?i8zmsmuid4k
  6. Can anyone recommend a good place to put music online, I've seen people using soundclick and various others, but which is the best?!
  7. Why is it "automatically cool"? Have you ever actually used one, or are you just a fashion victim like the rest of the "wow vintage synths are so COOOOOOL" crowd? Oh thats rite, you have a casio vl-tone and think its amazing because it's so ironically "retro". VL-Tone isn't cool, vintage, or retro, it's just crap.
  8. About bloody time, cause for celebration I think!
  9. I presume you have read Animal Farm aswell then...

  11. Vintage synths are definately over-rated in a sort of "trendy" way. I agree with spellchecker, a modern synth is a lot more versatile in terms of the range of sounds you can create and modulation routings you can set up, not to mention the fact that they have midi support
  12. I like pretty much everything, but if there was ever a "genre" that represented the bottom of the musical barrel, imho I'd have to say punk. and gabba. the two are pretty much on a par. Anyway I'm curious, why the dislike of hiphop?
  13. Yeah and I had 100 quid, not 150. 2 gigs suits my needs fine anyway.
  14. Philips HDD070/05, 2 gig HDD / FM radio / USB mass storage / 10 hrs battery life / backlit lcd, it's about the size of a credit card and weighs next to nothing ( a lot lighter than an ipod for sure). I got one for 99 quid.

  17. The question is, does it still know its a rat? Or does disassembling the individual neurons of a brain and then reconstructing them destroy the original "conscience"?
