  1. A little off topic, but TV-Cream.org is a great site too with a dedicated radio section.
  2. I've always had this fantasy about being fisted by Edward Scissorhands, I guess.
  3. Hungry Models is ace, as is Joe Robot 'cos those songs are about chicks and robots which are the best.
  4. Pop Will Eat Itself Atari Teenage Riot !!!
  5. OK, I own one of these: Ibanez GSA60. Second hand, nay bad but nay great. I want to make it my project though, but I'm new at this. I'd really like somebody to explain modification to me. It lacks a strong bass sound and I'd like to know how to go about improving that. What do I need, how much will it cost to fit. What would a set on new tuning heads do?
  6. Just as they have the right to express disdain for ethinic groups, I have the right to express my disdain in them marching. Balance and counter-balance, my friend.
  7. Huh... Is it worth sticking better pick-ups in a second hand guitar you're so-so about. I'm happy with the action and weight of my Ibanez, but it sounds like a dying bee in a tin-cup. Are new pick-ups easyish to install? Any recommendations?
  8. Isn't it a baby ML you have? Or am I getting confused. I've got a full sized ML and it's a nice guitar but awkward to transport which is why I also have a light and cheap Ibanez GSA 60 which sounds like a bee in a Quality Street tin half the time. Saving up for a Mexican Tele hopefully in time for next summer.
  9. Huh! They were only jealous that they didn't have their own wank place. Wish I had one.
  10. To the fewpeople who have heard of them, maybe. I don't deny their influence though, just the scope of it. Can it really be heard outwith some forms of punk music?
  11. Someone (someone who posts on this forum, I hear) wrote "This is a tasty burger" on the desk I took my standard grade English exam at. Took me a full 15 minutes to compose myself.
  12. Well, pop should be about well crafted song writing... That's "should".
  13. I have to add Led Zepplin too for much the same reason as Nirvana and Queen. While I'm not a fan of any of those bands by any degree, a lot of people seem to pretend to owe them some kind of respect without really being able to explain why they think that if you genuinely love them, that's cool. There are plenty of bands who are genuinely bad that people like and those bands aren't them but liking a band out of duty to "rock royalty" is just stupid. I can't stand the Red Hot Chilli Peppers either. Just 'cos it sounds good on a hot summers day while you're pissed in a field doesn't make it good music, hell ANYTHING would sound good in that context.
  14. Snow Patrol, Coldplay, Keane, The Thrills... Good at what they do, but they just seem like perinnial festival bands. Virgin Radio will have new darlings by next Summer.
  15. I wouldn't say I "own" these, because I stole them from the internet, but we all know the internet isn't tough and is like a shopkeeper in a 70's kids TV movie where all the kids steal apples from the shop front display and the shopkeeper shakes his fists and threatens to call the police but that plot thread is never resurrected once the main character meets a girl who looks after badgers and then they stop the woodland being turned into a supermarket. Anyway, I have to say I'm partial to my "Techno Remix" of the Starfox theme, my reworking of Ryu's music from SFII with an unneccasary solo or "Viewtiful World" by Viewtiful Joe which is some kind of weird nu-metal meets really upbeat pop punk deal...sung by a fictional character. I sadly don't have my Mr Blobby vinyl anymore and I feverently deny even knowing there was a Mr.Blobby single.
  16. Kissing smokers is mingy. The clothes/hair thing I don't get. Doesn't anyone was clothes after they've spilled pints down them/sweated on the dance floor/vomited on their legs on a night out?
  17. Shiiiiiiiiiiit, and here's me calling them smokers for 21 years.
  18. I guess technically their influences are post-punk, but they guy in the article is calling them the "death of punk", that they're bland. I think the first paragraph is written with a tounge full of irony in a cheek full of smarm. He's calling them boring. Good on him.
  19. No one actully drinks Guiness though. They buy it to look tough and then poor it out when nobody is looking.
