  1. Looks like it is. Makes me nervous though, as I'm unlikely to find anything so cool so cheap again.
  2. That's "brokespeak" for broken keyboard. I picked up a Yamaha Portasound for three quid today and I really can't complain except for the socket for a DC adaptor seems to be broken. Anyone know how to fix this or how it could be fixed cheaply?
  3. I'm so excited I've already dreamed about this gig twice!
  4. Will do. I'm glad we were able to debate and discuss some slightly opposing views about this civily. Genuinely appreciated.
  5. I heard they unite with the 5678's, Melt Banana, Polysics and Shonen Knife to form a giant robot.
  6. That was contradicted by the links I gave you to sites belonging to facist punk bands. The "punk community" doesn't really seem to exist, although I won't deny that there are pockets of punk subcultures and it seems to be the case, thankfully, that the majority do hold leftist/anti-authoritarian. Which is cool, really. But it's not a case of punks: good, world:bad.
  7. I got butterlfies reading that post. OH MY FUCKING GOD! YES!
  8. Thanks. It took me all night and a tab of LCD before I came up with that one.
  9. Well, they share the whole system of fanzines, split EPs and underground shows that punk does among other things. My point was that punk's political content is hard to control and, as those knobheads prove, can be twisted for hate, sadly.
  10. I got stung by a bee once... FIFTY QUID FOR A JAR OF HONEY!!
  11. Barenaked Ladies, Sum 41 and those "Stole my Sunshine" people were all so serious! ...and I HOPE Nickelback are an elaborate joke. Anyway, I'm beginning to dig SYL......would this DVD be a good starting point?
  12. Why the laughter, man? If I could play, Alt-Country would well be among my playing interests.
  13. I arrived for Allegro who were very cool( I was up early but had much to do), apart from their singer being camper than a Carry On Convention at Butlins with all that flopping about, which got irritating. I have to say the rest of the bands were good, but kind of blurred into one big band for my jaded old ears, apart from the 44's who had the who brass thing going on. Hope to see a repeat next year, but maybe covering more genres of music? Good stuff over all.
