Awesome, completely spastic stage performance, and the band of thye night by a mile... Johnny Truant - Good stuff, but after what went before, seemed pretty tame. They seem to be more hardcore than metal, especially the new stuff.....

Burst - Prey on Life Honestly, the above is brilliant, and ESSENTIAL for fans of broad minded metal. Featuring ex-members of Nasum, but sound nothing like them. The closest I can say is Mastadon kicking shit outta Radiohead!Gentle acoustics run into pulverising riffs. Beautiful Burnt By The Sun - The Perfect is the Enemy of the Good = Modern metal at its best. The Bled - Pass the Flask. Love it. Tuneful, but serrated. For fans of tunes with an edge...

Strobing Goat!!!!!! Blaze played no Wolfsbane, and as such, were average. On the way home, I popped into Drummonds, and by chance, witnessed the most awesome band in Aberdeen - Strobing Goat! Godflesh gone Gabba! Ace! Rob Karloff, you will like.....

Korn's first album is a classic, second is rough but good, third is pop-metal with some storming singles. Issues had some intersting ideas and some good choruses, but all round pretty uninspiring. Haven't actually bothered with the new one....

Why does ANYONE like Chimaira? There are some crackin' bands about, yet this bunch of second rate chancers get all the praise! Killswitch mind, are brilliant. Lookin' forward to the new album....

It's a good album - better than some of the unkind reviews suggested - but it's just a good pop-metal album. I suspect it'll carry them till the next one easy, but they need to make something more substantial. I like "We Still Kill The Old Way" bestest....

First band I ever went to see live (although Die Krupps supporting technically makes THEM the first) on the Icon tour (or it ay have been in support of the ep from said album...). Anyway, it was ace, they were ace, don't like the earlier stuff, haven't heard the later stuff. There.
