I have checked out some of the stuff and the drumming is very good indeed... Ill be listening to more of this for sure! But I think we would be looking at practicing fortnightly, maybe even weekly... something like that...? So maybe thats not really workable for you. Mind you, that's only me talking...

Are you a Drummer or Guitarist looking for a band? - Still Looking... We (by we I mean Rachel McLennan and myself) are looking for a drummer and a 2nd guitarist to form a new band. We are looking for confident, committed, creative and entertaining people to start jamming with; with a view to getting original material together for gigs etc. Influences are diverse but could include bands such as: Funeral For A Friend, Taking Back Sunday, Jeff Buckley, Velvet Revolver, Green Day and Dashboard Confessional. Gigging/Previous band experience preferred, but really not essential... So don't be put off! If you fit the bill regardless then thats good enough for anybody! I am the same, I think to give him personally a hard time for being german etc etc is outta line... But he is not the right man for this team. He asked us to judge him on his competitive results as opposed to the friendlies. The qualifiers have turned out just as bad... So he made his own position untenable. With the media on Berti's back, it must be hard for this team to gain any confidence, with all the fierce negativity in the press (Which is hardly unreaosnable now...) and until he is out of the picture, that criticism is going nowhere.So being unable to motivate his team, stops him from doing a large portion of what he is paid to do. HE should step down for the teams sake... If he loves the team, and has the faith in the team that he keeps telling us he has, then that is the right thing to do.

Im a big fan myself, they are great guys, and they have been great in the gigs I have seen them play, they are a refreshing change from many bands I end up seeing!

Constructive criticism is the only way to go about things... Music, bands, performing, writing, is not about making it interesting for people, or playing to people's interests. One person's 'GREAT' is another's 'RUBBISH'. When you wirte material, and pperform live, you play for yourself. You do what yopu enjoy and what comes naturally to you. Sure you keep challenging yourself, and trying different things (which BS do, in terms of harmonies and so on... they have come on along way...) but you should be doing that naturally for yourselves, and not because people think you should, or because someone else tells you you should. Otherwise you take the passion and the drive right out of it. A scene to be successful needs music of all genres, not just metal, hardcore, metal punk. It needs the whole deal. I like the Aberdfeen scene for that very reason, because there is diversity. And in my opinion, there are bands would pay week in and week out to see, and Ill admit that maybe Broken Sunshine are on that list, but I make the difference between a band not being in my taste, and a band who have my respect, because they are trying, and they are enjoying the challenge. No band is ever going to please everyone, it is impossible, so therefore what is important, is that you are trying, you are enjoying it, you stand up for your music... And that is what SnowWhite is doing... Good on you for that, and keep up the work!

A classic description Dan if ever I heard one... Seeing as ive sprawled my thoughts on the other thread ill spare you all the spiel here! Catchy, pretty, getting tighter, punk pop gals with attitude... With plenty of potential to fill, but no strangers to the negative press in the 'deen.... There's the shorter description!

I think its pretty harsh to get on the gals' case too much, because thye have come on a long way since the first time I saw them play... It isn't my kind of music granted.. but they try hard. They write catchy tunes, that even someone like me walks away humming back to myself... There is alot of room for improvement, I don't think even they would disagree with that, but the EP sounds good... I would probably get into it more if it were my kind of thing. But as long as they keep writing, keep enjoying playing (which is so obvious to see that they do), have the 'eye candy' element (Has to be said..), and quite simply keep improving like they have done, then there's nothing to complain about. The last thing this band needs in my opionion, is people on their case... But everyone is entitled to their opinion, and this was mine! They are enjoying themselves.... leave them to it! (Although... dont take that as being a 'Good, we've made it now we can sit back' comment, cus you need to keep on at it!)

Yes, or so the legislation states... I would presume it was exactly the student unions and the student bars that the council were trying to target overall. I have to say though, as someone who usually finds himself in the Moorings or the Bassment, these changes aren't going to mean many drastic changes. I certainly don't think that they will drastically cut binge drinking... (Surely the council will realise that...) Well unless the population of aberdeen is skint one night!

Ill just say dibs on anything left, but I doubt there will be! At the end of the day serves whoever they are right for leaving their amps lying around.... Although, one persons loss is another's gain!

Things will be back in full force this sunday again im sure... I haven't been able to get there for the last few weeks due to work, but I have all that sorted now... Sunday nights jams, here I come!

There's no need for the sarcasm... i was only meaning, that its either on or its off, but in the last 24 hours its been both... sometimes at the same time. It becomes harder and harder to get a crowd down to a gig, when 6/7 hours away from kick off... nobody can confirm it. So hopefully we can get a final answer.. I may think thta Mr Doherty is a waste of time, but if the band are serious about making it up to their fans, then good for them, their fans deserve it.

Johnny mac I agree with you... What exactly has this guy done? Apart from take drugs, mess peiple around, steal from bandmates and dissapoint fans... In my opinion... that desciption brings me to one conclusion... A nobody.. He should just take a clean break away from music, and sort himself out.

And rightfully so... This behaviour is an absoloute disgrace, and its not like that just goes for his Aberdeen antics... He has let an awful lot of people down... I guess im slightly biased by the fact that I don't like the guy anyways
