  1. The lyrical content would not stop me lsitening to a band, if their music was good. At the end of the day, lyrics and so on are just lyrics, they could be about anything. And if they want to write about Christianity, or rligion then good for them. I just tend not to let it affect me, unless they are like preaching in between songs, saying we all should pray for a minute and so on... that is different...
  2. Ah man thats not cool... I swear we didn't conspire... well not a lot... You're gonna be missing a rocking night...
  3. I don't know, there are lots of things in that article I agree with actually... but there's more I disagree with. Brave person to write an article like that though... I give them that.
  4. Aye Im the same... Even if its only one of the Xmas specials... Im sure the programmers will see sense.... *crosses fingers*
  5. I think if you asked Paul Rodgers if he felt he was replacing Freddie... he would strongly disagree with you, and say you can't replace an entertianer like Freddie. Freddie wanted Queen to go on without him, and its taken them over 12 years to put a plan like this into action, they have at least asked one of Freddie's favourite frontmen to stand in... And can I say, that neither Brian may or Roger have been fmaous for doing it 'for the money' except for charity records, which can I also say, they have put so much effort into and have raised a lot for.
  6. ClearTone are playing this gig too... Didn't know the whole line up until now... Looks like a heck of a night in store! (Slightly off topic, but Does GOFONES have any recorded material?)
  7. Here Here Milner... That hardly endears him to the people he dissapointed... Anybody catch himon TOTP on Friday? I just don't rate him at all... He needs tog et away and sort himself out... So much for Babyshambles being a 'fresh start'
  8. Right... Well... Good on him. If he's serious about this, then good on him.
  9. Ach.. best just ignoring him, all he wants is a reaction. If thats how he feels then thats fine, as longas he understands, that not everyone shares his view... If people want to pay tribute, or say some words, they have every right to.
  10. I don't know about anybody else, but Im sitting watching some old tapes of Morecambe and Wise, and they are great. Their humour still works, and boy did they take mick out some stars. They are comedy legends... of the kind that in my opinion, we really lack nowadays... Anybody else a fan?
  11. Yeah Spike is indeed a very useful man to have aorund... Brian May still refers to him as the 5th member of Queen, and their 'Secret Weapon'. Thats a glowing recommendation if I ever heard one...
  12. Welll as I was saying it is down to personal opinion... TO be honest I dont really care either way, I do not thing it is wrong of them to call themselves Queen, yet I would still be there even if it were some new band...
  13. Aye I knwo what you mean bout the whole name thing. At the end of the day though, John Deacon has retired to be with his fmaily, but his permission has always been seeked before Brian and Roger have done anything. And Freddie is dead, and he famously said before his death that he didn't want the band to stop. Plus, Paul Rodgers was one of his favourite performers, so i think he would appreciate it. My personaly view is they should sue the Queen name, and USe It proudly, even if it's something like Paul Rodgers & Queen or whatever... But I guess its just a matter of opinion. Its not liek the other two were split form the band after falling out, and theres no royalty battles or anything like that. The SAS band are indeed very good... Just wish they would come borth of the border a little more often...
  14. No its never going to be the Queen of old.. But I saw them play on the Hall of Fame thing and a VH1 special with Paul Rodgers, and they were sounding very good indeed... And I don't say that from a biased point of view. Brian was sounding huge as per usual, but I was impressed by Paul Rodgers. He was flamboyant, had stage presence and a great voice. They would only do a tour like this if they felt confident it was right and if they feel that the chemistry is strong enough to make a significant comeback... I dont blame them, they beat the likes of Led Zep and so on to that Hall of Fame thing, their We Will Rock You musical is smashing records down in London and soon will in Broadway (its opened in 6 countries now), you had G4 on X factor singing Queen tunes the alst few weeks... people are listening to their music again on a wider basis... And you may despise the whole X Factor and Hall of Fame thing, but they did it anyway. Good luck to them, they are talented, and they obviously just want to get back and Rock... and I will be there to see it!
  15. Scott... You will thank me for breaking that to you!! Hehe.. This is the best news Ive heard in a long time... Queen are absoloute hero's of mine... Finally, I will get a chance to see them!
  16. It was on channel 4 news... And it has been on BBc news when it first broke... Still shocked....
  17. fair enough... my apologies, I stand corrected!
  18. Valley69 is a lass... as opposed to a lad.... Or as far as im aware that is the case...
