  2. We tend to practice 1-2 a week (evenings, usually tues and/or Thursday) and in the past we have gigged 1-3 a month. We tend to just manage things around work etc. where we can we try and fit everything in... But we work hard with the time we have. We do play out of town when opportunities come up, so sometimes this may be midweek or weekend. We tend to just head down and back in the same evening.
  3. Cyrus Rose are looking for a new bassist to join the band. You will be a confident, competent and creative musician, looking for an original band who practice and gig regularly. We have a bank of material recorded and we need someone who is not afraid to roll their sleeves up and get stuck in as we have been gigging regularly across the UK for a couple of years now and are in the middle of writing new material which will form part of our next recording project. Our Influences as a band are extremely varied and include, but are not limited to: Foo Fighters, Bon Jovi, Jimmy Eat World, Bruce Springsteen, Rise Against, The Script and Red Hot Chilli Peppers. We have our own private practice space and decent resources at our disposal, so this will be a great opportunity for a musician looking for a new band and a new challenge. You can find some of our music here: Or just look for us on Spotify, ITunes, Amazon etc and our album 'Granite & Light'. If you are interested, leave a message below or PM me.
  4. 9. We are an established band looking for a new guitarist. You will be hard working, committed and comfortable sharing lead/rhythm duties with the other guitar player. We have just finished recording our first full length album and we need someone to come in and hit the ground running, learning the material we have to date and committing to regular gigs and practices. 11. Indeed. Although I believe that the stage issue has been sorted and is being provided by the Council. So it's bands and as much olympic and paralympic related 'stuff' that I can possibly bring together by Sunday.
  12. Does anyone know anyone who was lucky enough to take part in the torch relay for the Olympics? I am looking for someone willing to bring their torch to an Olympic event on Sunday 9th September.
  13. Hi There, I am looking to source a small stage and a cover to put over it so that it would be weather proof. Any helpers?
  14. Dear All! I am looking for acts of any description who are available on Sunday to come and play short sets at an Olympic Bandstand event outside the St Nicholas Centre/Markies on Sunday between 1-5pm. We are looking for acts who can perform acoustically (basic PA is provided however) across all genres. Whether you are pop, rock, opera or folk, whether you are a soloist, duo, rock band or pipe band drop me an email at p.whalley@btinternet.com with your details and any links or info about your act. This is a community event and as such there will be no payment available for performers. However, you will be able to sell any merchandise/CD's etc if you so wish. If there is more than one person in your act please ensure that all members have availability for Sunday before applying by email. Thanks! The organisers reserve the right to decide the final programme for this event and any artist bookings are not final until you receive an official email confirming your appearance.
  15. Correction that's a 16 (+ 8 stereo track) desk...
  16. Venue is a function room at the Marcliffe Hotel. We are bringing along a 16 track mixing desk, two speakers, two subwoofers and 2/3 monitors. We are looking for someone from about 4pm - 11:30pm to run the sound. All amps and kit to be mic'd up and mixed with all acts getting a sound check in afternoon. Then basically just real time monitoring during the night to ensure levels and volumes are consistent.
  17. Hi there, Are there any sound engineer/technicians out thee who would be available to run the sound at a one Off show on 27th April?
  18. Does anybody know anyone who may know someone who has spare tickets or someone that would be willing to sell their tickets for the show tonight?
  19. Are you interested in hearing the stuff because you are a musician? I am on my download limit for yousendit so people will either have to be patient or I can email tracks to interested people in the mean time.
  20. Drummer has been found so now we are looking for female vocalists and piano players.
