Personally, I prefer taking gutiar lessons. Ive played guitar for nearly 6 years now, and I still tod along once a week. It keeps me focused on practicing, and it gives me the chance to work on techniques/scales/sound that I really would not work at if I was just on my own... If that makes any sense

We're looking for a bassist for a new band... A few of us are putting together a new band, to play a wide range of material. Covering a scale that is not much heavier than likes of Velvet Revolver but with the diversity of bands like Coldplay and Ocean Colour Scene. We have two guitarists, vocalist and drummer... and are on the lookout for a bassist who wants to get involved... We are trying to break the voodoo of having to be a metal band, or a punk band, or a hardcore band, etc etc... we just want to play whatever comes. So far its looking good... So basically just looking for a bassist that is committed, is competent and has an open mind... Any interest?

This is a little bit short notice, but not much information is being put out about tonight's gig... Some great local acoustic artists are playing tonight down at Drummonds. First at scheduled for 8:30pm and door tax is 2. Went along to the gig at Drakes tonight... Thought it went extremely well...There was the odd sound hitch, but nothing worth worrying about... All I can say is that Aberdeen are losing a great band, and a great bunch of lads as well. Cheers for all, and good luck in Edinburgh!

A new line up... New music... ClearTone, are looking for a new Lead/Rythym guitarist following the departure of an old friend to University. We have just recorded an EP, and would like at some point to promote some of the songs on it, but would also like to start writing a new batch of material. The band have much live experience, and have some very talented musicians on tow. Due to University commitments, any guitarist coming in would have to be willing to work with one or two of us at a time in terms of writing, as it will be impossible to meet up regularly. But during down time and holiday periods we will get together for proper sessions and gigs. We are looking for a creative and determined person, with some live experience, and preferably some previous band/ensemble experience. Any suitors?
