  1. Maybe it's like when you eat heaps and feel lethargic, because your body's diverting more blood than usual away from your brain to your stomach to process the food, maybe it's your body diverting energy and blood flow away from your extremities to your lower intestine? Perhaps? Something along the lines of orange question earlier that is probably silly but has always bothered me: Are Bumble Bees called Bumble Bees because they 'bumble', or did the expression 'to bumble' come from the way a Bumble Bee moves?
  2. Tequila Mike seemed to think it was when were speaking the other day, though I wouldn't dare to say if it was speculation or fact on his part.

    Cheesey strat

Holy Shit! The Cheese Guitar! Legendary!
  4. Just to confirm, the jobs are over 18's only! Sorry for the confusion. Some places do hire 16s+ as glass collectors/waiting staff but it's different depending on Licences. Also, Elizabeth: We will be looking for people to start immediately (or asap) but if your keen and unable to start until June, theres no harm sticking in CV, there's always a bit of upheaval around summer with students coming and going. Hope this addresses some of your concerns! -Rass
  5. the xzibit ones made me lolol 1!!11 sorry for all the demotivationals, I appear to have hundreds on here.

    New Star Trek Movie

    Yas! He plays Scotty!
  7. Not "Ye Olde Frigate" just beside markies? They have a signed photo of Birds of a Feather for christs sake! If that's not a sign of quality I really don't know what is.
  8. as far as I know the second pedal is really just for the new difficulty - "Expert +" which is going to be retardedly hard and double-bass-tastic. Although I'd imagine could make the other difficulties a bit more interesting too. And yes, the trailer is freaking awesome, tho I love how all the guys look cartoony except Rob, who just looks like... Rob. The fact they mo-cap all the artists is pretty sweet too, all the movements, gestures and mannerisms are perfect. Looking forward to seeing which of the stages and settings from over the years made it in. My only hope is that there's a Black Album "Lion from Wizard of Oz" era skin for Het to be unlocked at some point.
  9. Aw balls, I spent so long getting everyone their desired nights off for the next month at work I forgot to bleeding rota myself off for this! what a knob...
  10. A valid point, also, seeing as we did play our standard 2 gigs for the year, and they were both any good (as opposed to two Maiden Scotland support slots, 6 months apart), we should at least be wildcard for the Metal award too.. no? Come on Mr Fudge, whats the umpire's verdict (i am just fucking with you, honest!)
  11. They haven't purchased the venue, it reads more like they're just going into business with our parent company, MAMA. I very much doubt there will be much if any change in the immediate future, except for HMV selling tickets for gigs like the article says. Saying that tho, that article is the first any of us heard about it, so I could be very wrong. Oh, for all the concerned carpet watchers, i'd imagine this deal will be a promotions venture, I very much doubt HMV are going to start dishing out cash for upholstery around the venues. Though if it makes you any happier, we found out the other day the floor beast is moppable, so it shouldnt be quite as bad from now on.
  12. I spent hours trying to get on come launch day, when i eventually did at 2am, spent ages making my avatar, moved all the furniture around in my 'flat' then it prompted me to go investigate the communal areas. I was there for about 20 seconds before my whole grown life of mocking second lifers flashed before my eyes, I felt a little nauseous, logged off and never looked at it again. I'd be keen to go have a look around sometime but in all honesty it'd have to be at a retarded time of the morning when i'm not going to get harassed by kiddies.
  13. just for the sake of getting involved - Rass17 but like phil i've never really played online, most my games are 3rd person action types, tho i could certainly be persuaded online for a game of wipeout, regardless how shit i am at it perhaps we could all have a dance in home sometime
  14. It's not, I spent a whole day last week scrubbing the dancefloor, it's fine, if it was sticky at bad manners gig it's because there was nearly 400 people in the club at the time who weren't being very careful with their drinks. Also, before it's brought up, the carpet was also cleaned last week, if it's sticky again already it's probably something to do with it being a carpet in a nightclub, which we all know is retarded. Nothing like an easy target tho eh.
  15. A bag of sugar and some boiling water would be a cheaper alternative to this, obviously let it cool before you go sticking it in drinks mind Just keep putting sugar in the water until it stops dissolving. Em, from your list quickly, other things of note, Cherry Brandy, you will find for sure in Oddbins (the big one at the top of Bon Accord Street), It's in the Bols range of Liqueurs. Same for CD Bananes. There's heaps of other stuff to mention but as i'm late for work, my parting shot will be, if your inventing, get some Chambord, you can find it in Asda, in a little round bottle (looks like the holy hand grendade), it's a Black Raspberry Liqueur, and makes pretty much anything you put it in taste nice!
  16. got the impression from Joe that Thrashist were pretty keen on that slot too, just to get their name in there!
  17. I have barely ever had dreams which I have remembered the next day, except when i was on NRT Patches, the 24 hour ones, man they were a total trip, easily some of the most crazy dreams i have ever had, it was a bit scary some of the stuff my brain was capable of coming up with, sadly it was 6 months ago now and cant remember any specifics.
  18. It has been my nickname since school, my real name is Ross, and one day my charming classmates (who later became bandmates.. bastards) decided to make light of my rotund appearance and christened me "Fat-Ass Rass". I have since shed the puppy fat and the prefix and have been Rass ever since. Winner.
  19. The Riverboat Song by OCS mostly when I'm drunk, just the riff on repeat for hours...
  20. Indeed, as far as I'm aware, you can still get from One-Up or the Cavern on Belmont Street
  21. oh christ i forgot about that, like a portable mega drive which took MD carts. I'm just gutted i put in Master System but totally missed Master System 2, i had a bloody Master System 2, it was my first console! retard.
  22. Santa's Slay! Truly terrible! Had so much promise, pishy b-movie in which santa (played by Bill Goldberg) goes apeshit and starts killing abody! If they'd not tried so hard to wedge massive plot into it bumped it up to an 18 and just concentrated on more humorous seasonal killing it might of been pretty entertaining brainless fun. Oh and saw Zack n Miri last night too, was pretty funny, but I thought all the hilarious groundwork they put in the first half was let down but a rather rom-com-by-numbers ending. Still good tho.
  23. Perhaps a month later than everyone else, but along with some shameless self promotion, I just wanted to say thank you to everyone for your kind words, those who loved us and those who didn't but were able to see past any "Heavy Metal Band" preconceptions. At the end of the day Atom for me has always been about 6 really good mates with a passion for playing some rocking tunes, putting on a show and taking anyone willing along for the ride, something we'll do right up to the last chord of our last song on the 14th There's been a lot of incredible memories shared so far in this thread, memorable gigs for me include, every Halloween and the various covers at each one, most notably the year Dan joined the band live on-stage, crashing in during the middle of Empty Sky posing as Death, I swear I had such a rush from the response we got there I nearly passed out. The slew of packed out Lava/Kef gigs we played around the launch of Exile (Reckoning Day 2!!), the St Laurence Hall gigs, the first one at Mearns Academy, The "evening with..." at Moshulu, The Double Jack & T that B Album launches at the Lemon Tree. In fact the whole writing, recording and gigging of the Album was an incredible ride. There's been some pretty obscure moments too, especially "The Portlethen Massacre" and playing on a beach to a hoard of bemused ravers on a sand dune down the beach at 1am somewhere in 2001. Man, so many scattered memories, all of which are good. Like Sandman-Gu and Erskine winning the wheelbarrow race at Fudges 4th, partying slightly too hard on many occasions with Risactonia (especially having to leg it out of the flat with Mowatt sporting a half shaven head when a Risac' band fall-out went nuclear), having OAP's asking for their money back at a Charity Talent Show in Edzell because we were 'too loud', myself trying (and failing) to take on Del Double Jack in the infamous "Old Samuel Affair". Briefly forgetting how to play guitar during a Moorings set after one too many pre-gig Jagers. Practicing in Joe's living room in the early days, playing at many a party in living rooms in Auchenblae and in barns in Drumlithie.... Man I could go on and on, and on. Long story short, it has been an awesome ride which I have been immensely proud to be a part of, and will take with me for the rest of my life, a massive thanks from the bottom of my heart to everyone who's ever been involved in any way, shape or form. Peace Out x
