  1. Went to Moshulu the other night to see AKA Ska and Bad Manners. Walked across the dancefloor and was soon aware of a searing pain in the soles of both my feet. Turned to look back and noticed that six metres away my shoes were stuck to the floor. Four metres away my socks were stuck too. Two metres away and I could see the skin from the soles of both my feet. Does anyone in that place know how to use a fucking mop?
  2. Anyone know of any local places that screen print band t-shirts? Or somewhere we can get a couple of screens made up?
  3. We're still on the lookout for fiddle player ( a year later). I know this is not the kind of place a fiddle player would hang around at, but it must be worth a go. Here's our band: http://www.myspace.com/detrendiablo
  4. That there's any chance of a fiddle player reading this forum? We need one.
  5. Just posted a reply then realised it was a PM you wanted.
  6. * Guitarist Link Wray, considered one of the the pioneers of US Rock n Roll in the 1950's, and a cult figure, passed away at 76 years of age, in Copenhagen, where he had lived the past two decades, according to todays newspaper "Politiken." His powerful guitar riffs earned him the nickname "Godfather of the Power Cord" and the respect of several generations of musicians who followed his legacy, though he never recieved the level of recognition of contemporaries like Gene Vincent or Elvis Presley.* . . . This happened on Saturday I think...
  7. Still on the lookout for a fiddling person. So far we have vocals, acoustic guitar, upright bass and half a drummer. Any takers? PM me if you're interested in having a hooch and a chooch.
  8. I totally agree. Even with Larry Love in a chair!
  9. A stand up skiffle type of dude will do. Someone who doesn't get bored doing the repetitive stuff, cos it's the sum of parts that count. Aye. PM me for mair detail...
  10. Paul Fyfe is also in Pablo with Ian Slater. I've got a squibs single too somewhere. Anyone remember a two piece band called the Dice Men? If I remember rightly they sounded vaguely like Killing Joke with a drum machine. Had an excellent backdrop of a video projection of buildings falling down. I saw them at Crazy Daisy's (going back a bit there...).
  11. The Man Who Walks by Alan Warner. Same guy as did "Morvern Callar" and "The Sopranos" (the choir, not the gangsters).
  12. Anyone remember Bruce Clark, who played bass for APB on their last couple of tours of the U.S? This allowed Ian to play guitar. Bruce is a kung fu expert now, with his own school in Aberdeen. I think Glen lives in Cruden Bay now...
  13. I found it quite amusing recently with "Who's the daddy?" or "I'm the daddy" becoming quite a popular turn of phrase. I told my apprentice where this saying came from and urged him to see that film. He did and was quite shocked. A must see...
