  1. Fuck off! against an unsettled team, managed by that twat Rix and his 4-5-1 embarrasingly defensive formation, reliant on a late own goal Yep. 'cos even if I wasn't a Hearts fan, I'd say the best thing that could possibly happen for Scottish football would be for the Old Firm 1st and 2nd place thing to remain ad nauseum. Would be terrible if the league was in any way interesting...
  2. Black Bo's is an excellent wee boozer. However, my favourite pubs in Edinburgh are Cloisters (best atmosphere of any pub in any city anywhere) and The Jolly Judge (right next to the castle, but down an alleyway, so not touristy at all).
  3. Fear not. He's "wacky" in a Monster Raving Loony Party kind of a way.
  4. Hearts 3 - 0 Celtic. If I was a conspiracy theorist....
  5. Pretty simple. We dropped 50% of the points that were available when he was in charge. We were much better when Burley was in charge, and have looked much better under Ivanauskas. Rix was truly shite.
  6. My 2005/2006 Hearts season highlights (so far!): - 11 wins and no losses in the first 12 games. - Sticking 4 goals past Hibs on 3 separate occasions. - Sitting in the pub in Frankfurt watching us beat Rangers, which was apparently "the big test". - 5-0 win against Falkirk on Boxing Day. One of the most one-sided games of football I've ever seen. - Seeing genuinely class players like Jankauskas and Fyssas in Hearts shirts. - Rudi Skacel's performances up until the turn of the year. - Beating Hibs in what was probably the biggest Edinburgh derby ever. - The first half of the New Years Day game against Celtic. Probably the best controlling display we've ever had against the Old Firm. 2005/2006 shockers - The second half of the New Years Day game against Celtic. Probably the most inept managerial display we've ever had against the Old Firm. - George Burley's sacking. - Graham Rix's hiring. - Two defeats to Hibs. - Not having the Champions League place wrapped up by now (thanks again Mr Rix). 2006/2007 Aims - Get in a decent manager and - *shock* - keep him. - Be in the draw for the Champions League Qualifiers. - To play some genuinely world class teams in Europe (either in the Champs League or on a decent UEFA Cup run - if Middlesborough can do it...). - To keep the best of the squad together and have a real go at winning the league (you never know!!!). - At least 2nd place (although no Champs League for that next season).
  7. Of course you could use the tools available to you on the internet to find out the information for yourself. I'll give you a clue, some of them start: www.goog www.easyje www.thetrainli www.multim Lazy bastard.
  8. If you'd kept the knowledge to yourself, potentially a hot girl...
  9. I saw Menzies Campbell and Simon Hughes (plus some others) whilst driving through Camberwell today. They took bloody ages to cross the road, and on a red man as well. What sort of example is that to our children???
  10. I've got a couple of Copy Protected CDs both of which not only won't play on my machine, but actually cause the whole thing to hang. Cue hard reboot. It's ridiculous that you can't make a perfectly legitimate copy of a CD you've paid your own hard earned for onto your own Mp3 player. Wankers.
  11. Err, except it's not racist. Unless Al-Qaeda are a race. Read the article again, at no point does the joke mention any race. Unless of course you're automatically connecting Al-Qaeda with Islam as a whole - which I believe makes you the racist. I'd hate to see the outcry from members of Al-Qaeda when they find out about this. They'll probably write strongly worded letters to the newspapers or something. Whilst it wasn't the brightest thing anyone's ever said, I don't actually see anything wrong with it at all. And frankly, what the fuck it's got to do with The Muslim Council of Britain really escapes me.
  12. I'm sure it'll be *a lot* better during the World Cup, but the nightlife in Frankfurt is shite. It's a surprisingly nice place though. Was expecting it to be a modern skyscraper nightmare, but it's actually quite attractive. My next trips are going to be (in no particular order, and not necessarily this year):- Kracow Reykjavik Vancouver Being based down in London makes flights so much cheaper. Well, something had to be.
  13. I'd go as far as to say "YAS...!YAS...! WHATTA FUCKIN' PEACH"
