  3. "Che" (a Suicide cover) and "May the circle be unbroken", both from the B side of "Revolution" by Spacemen 3
  4. Radio Soulwax have done at least 7 "mix Cds". I think they often have problems getting copyright clearance / it costs too much so the Cds end up as bootlegs / imports on Ebay etc. They are mixers, DJs and in a band who once played the Ltree... They had a flashing microphone stand !
  5. I really enjoyed last night - the highlight has to be the reverb that seemed to echo from the male toilet. I wonder if Adrian Sherwood was in the bogs mixing....... Dave
  6. Cpt Beefheart was a bit nasty to his bandmates during the making of Trout Mask Replica. Never fed them properly, deprived them of sleep etc etc...

  9. Did some kid not complain to DHR that they were becoming safe and boring - so they gave him some money to start off a DHR imprint with extreme music ?
  10. Nick Cave - Love Letter Nina Simone - Plain Gold Ring Roberta Flak - Killing me softly Smog - I was a stranger J Cash - Hurt Jay Boys - African People
  11. Digital Hcore Records - well thats a hard one. They, like Tigerbeat 6, seem to do pretty well at avoid being classified as one genre or not. When does industrial music become D n Bass or gabba or metal / grindcore / thrash or even Krautrock ? Should we care or just carry on buying albums ? Dave
  12. Improv can work great live*, but does not always work that well on record. See Jackie OMF or lots of free jazz for example. Dave * it can of course go awful as well !
  13. There's a Carcass best of out now... Grindcrusher has a nice mix of Earache bands with some death, grindcore, industrial etc etc Dave

  20. Very early Kluster still scares me but is worth checking out... Although you canna beat a bit of Faust or Hanged Up. The cone albums from Kraftwerk may also be considered influential on Industrial Music. BTW even the last Autechre album sounded industrial to me...
  21. So are The Melvins stoner rock ?
  22. TOTP2 Tuesday 25th May. Song number 9 is by Sting. He will try to bland you out. Turn over after song number 8. Alert ends.
  23. I am sure John Peel said on his show last night that he has another Scottish date to do for his show before the end of the year. Anyone think he'll play up here ? Dave
  24. Would anyone recommend the "newish" jungle compilation by Soundmurderer ? I only know the Remarc material but i'm thinking about getting a copy... Dave http://www.discogs.com/release/183739
