  1. Well the one about 3 posts up is Alanis Morrisette. All you need to know around here is avoid that dodgy Hog character, simple as
  2. Firefly was brilliant. Nathan Fillion's current show Castle is also excellent, favourite moment so far is the Halloween episode where his costume is Mal's outfit from Firefly and his daughter complains Cowboys in Space was so 5 years ago... Chuck is also one of the best things on TV, very glad it was renewed. I loved the first series of Heroes, one of the most compulsive viewings I can remember, and yet the secod series was so incredibly disappointing that i have the third series on DVD but not actually watched it yet, and not felt too bothered to.
  3. I once didn't get an interview for a job at the Lemon Tree and when I asked why, as I was very qualified I was told that whilst my CV had been one of the best ones they felt my handwriting wasn't good enough - you used to have to fill in a form in those days (not too long ago though maybe 7 years). My writing isnt very good, partly because I'd been using computers for the past 10 years and had hardly written anything. I wasnt happy, my reason for not even getting an interview hadnt been becuase I wasnt good enough but because my writing wasnt good enough - I was told by an employee that they actually used to get someone to look at the handwriting specifically, imo talk about the wrong priorities.
  4. He plays guitar with Emma as a duo and was the guitar in her bands the Deviada's and Baby Karma.
  5. Havign heard you do mamy different styles through the years, i definitely think this suits your playing and vocal style the best. I really liked 'Dead on the Road' and thought it was an excellent recording, nice to see something stylistically a bit different on Ab Music too, I look forward to hearing the rest.
  6. Anything from gordon by the Barenaked Ladies
  7. Well done Mr Bronson it is, lovely man, i met him once in Aberdeen and he sold me his book
  8. I agree about the coloured Darleks and the whole Matt Smith thing is easy to explain. Matt Smith isnt sexy at all obviously, the Dr however is and thats cos he's a timelord who could do anything, therefore anything you are feeling is for the character Matt Smith inhabits, not his strange looking self. Looking forward to the second half, and especially looking forward to Neil Gaiman's one next year. Isnt it strange how the Who has gone from being an unmentionable programme to one everyone likes, Trivia Question: It was an Aberdeen actor who worked with more Dr's than anyone else (except the Brigadier) in Who, he starred with: William Hartnell, Jon Pertwee, Tom Baker (twice), Peter Davison and Sylvester McCoy, he was also in an audio Dr Who with Paul McGann, anyoneexcept Del) know who he is
  9. Put Ellie and i down for some of your new ones if they arrive and some of your past ones
  10. It all depends opn the gig, each gig presale is done differenly. Who are you trying to get presale info on specifically ?
  11. Just thought I'd remind everyone that this is this Friday, should be a great evening
  12. My brother is in town and looking for somewhere he can get a deep fried pizza, does anyone know any chippers who do one ?
  13. Pretty sure it's Sky as it's what used to be the Sci-Fi Channel.
  14. *geek hat on* Ah well strictly speaking the sequel to V was the Final battke, whjat you describe is the really rather terrible V TV series which was really not very good - you know a series is bad when Michael ironside leaves it. Loved the original, even have most of the books, the new one - from what I've seen - is OK but it doesnt have the tension of the original, probably because you realise so early on that theres something not right about the Visitors, and so many characters calling them V's annoys me too, they are the visitors, the V part comes from Victory... Still undecided but will watch the first series.
  15. I don't know if anyone's been following Storm the Charts which says: Forget chart campaigns for old songs. We're here for new, original music from bands and musicians who aren't on major labels. We've collected more than 570 submissions of songs from bands and musicians who are either on independent labels, or completely unsigned. As a group we're going to pick 40 of these - and as a group we'll see how many of those we can get in the official top 40, all in the same week. Voting starts after 7pm on Sunday 11th April. Please join in and help us pick our 40. And please tell your friends about us - we'll need every one we can get. Anyway Jo McCafferty's got a song on it called Cave: Storm the Charts - vote! We'd be very gratefull if you'd vote. Are there any other Aberdeen bands on here who are in it so we can vote for you s well ?

    Bill Bailey

For those who don't know he just announced a show in Inverness on the 25th May at the Eden Court
  17. Usually theres a thread by now What did everyone think ? i really enjoyed it, I think matt Smith could be a great Dr, the new assistant was rather lovely, and the story, whilst not a classic, may have been opne of the best season opener since it was brought back, as a huge Moffat fan since the days of Press Gang, i always have high hopes for anything he's written
  18. I don't think that's likely, she's holding out for the Shutterspeed invitation...
  19. Nope because she didn't record with them. Discography's only for recorded and released work
  20. I was a Steven: Steven You are Steven! You are the confident, outgoing spokesperson of the band. You nailed that audition when it mattered. Your talent extends to multiple instruments, but only if they are comfortable enough. You truly believe that grunge IS a way of life and are always ready to rock out onstage with your flowing ginger locks which are as long as the Lonseome Road in your timeless masterpiece. Sometimes the haterz get your back up and your fuse blows, but could they really stay mad at such an icon? Nyah.
  21. The font Broken Glass doesnt do pound signs, I did try...
  22. In the spirit of togetherness and a quiet afternoon at work, and taking influence from teabags masterpiece I have devised my version of a cover for the artwork for their first album... I liked teabags' atttempt but i felt it didnt go into the pain and heartfelt power in the song...
  23. Support is apparently the Lightening Seeds.
  24. Thought it might interest some people that the reunited Squeeze is playing the music hall on the 22nd November. 33 +bf. Anyone who's seen some of Glenn Tilbrook's shows at the lemon Tree should know they're in for a treat
