Teabags
I was just going to get the PC from Overclockers then get monitor, keyboadr mouse etc locally. That ebay link you posted is surprisingly good. Why am I wary?!
Captain America
I've had a build from overclockers before and it was good. I got my last one from Scan though and upped all the specs in their "value" range and it's been great. Might be worth looking there. If your looking to save any pennies a higher end i5 will do you fine as a mid tier i7 in my experience.

Teabags
Also, I'm definitely going invidia and Intel. AMD can get fucked. Anyone know of anything I should be wary of with different brand of GPUs? Gigabyte, EVGA etc etc? I'm pretty much sold on the 7500Ti. Nomad_Axeman
Also, I'm definitely going invidia and Intel. AMD can get fucked. Anyone know of anything I should be wary of with different brand of GPUs? Gigabyte, EVGA etc etc? I'm pretty much sold on the 7500TiYou're wariness probably stems from the fact the your'e buying blind through an intermediate (i.e eBay) - and let's be honest, we kinda still see The Bay of E as a place to offload stuff. I've had no trouble (yet) with computer gears via eBay - and saved a pile of moolah. Memory - 8GB works for me, but then if you can afford 16 gigs, then fuck it, too much is never enough GPU - I've had both NVidia and Radeon cards. You get more bang for buck with the latter, but NVidia seem to be the "industry standard". The 12-screen collaborative room I set up at work is driven by a HOOR of a NVidia card and it's been running constantly for over a year without issue. XFX, EVGA, Sapphire are all decent makes of GPU One overlooked component is the motherboard. If your motherboard is shitty, then having high-end components will be like driving Ferraris round narrow cobbled streets - i.e. rendering them ineffective. ASUS are a good mid-priced make. You could give yourself a migraine thinking about all the permutations. Like I said, there a lot of good "White Box" sellers on eBay and you will get a warranty. For peace of mind, there's North East Peripherals - a wee bit more pricey, but local and very helpful. All the best

Moose
I've downloaded Dark Souls. Might give it a bash at the weekend, although it sounds like the sort of game I just can't dedicate the time to.
Teabags
Gave Drk Souls a play, killed the first boss baddie. Really not into it.
James Broonbreed
I've just tried it. I'm guessing Dark souls 2 must be a massive improvement as this really is utter wank.
Teabags
CS:GO rules. I need to get a new PC soon so I can play it at home, but the few rounds of online competitive I've played have been fucking great. And even better playing with workmates. Stroopy121
I've been playing Star Wars: The Old Republic. It's pretty repetitive and the combat controls aren't great. But it's addictive as fuck. Might give DC Universe Online a bash, or just good ol' World of Warcraft for some MMO fun. xx

The Milner
Might have to pick this up then. Steam sale i presume? CS was my first real taste of a competitive FPS and i dont think its ever been beaten by Halo or COD.

Captain America
Competitive is the only really fun mode. The worst is if someone leaves in a competitive game though, 4v5 is pretty sad for that many rounds. There is far too much money in casual for it to be interesting too.

All last week was preparing for E3, culminating on Nick and Paul doing this live demo on the Gamespot stage. Went quite well!
Soda Jerk
I discovered an open source version of Transport Tycoon Deluxe. So that has pretty much absorbed my 4 day weekend.
