Old Gold
I'm with Moose. The cd should just be the Solid Air LP with a sticker on the front.Maybe put Metal Baby by the Fannies as a bonus track.

Palace of Swords
cocteau twins- heaven or las vegas better be on it!Interestingly enough, the Cocteau Twins are one of Pat Nevin's favourite groups. I'm fairly sure he likes the Jesus and Mary Chain as well.

delboy
Pat Nevin has always had impeccable taste in music, I remember him getting interviewed in the NME or Melody Maker back in the 80's, he's big on The Smiths as well!Funnily enough I listed to 'Psychocandy' yesterday and it would probably top my list if I was into the list thingy which I am not. They are as pointless as chocolate fireguards and Phil Collins combined...
Palace of Swords
Yes, Pat Nevin definitely knows his stuff, and his taste in music is generally very good.Sadly, the same cannot be said for Jim Gellatly.

Graham
Should this show not be called Scotland's Greatest Songs? Good to see the Blue Nile getting a mention though.

kirkt
I thought it was fairly decent last night's selection considering the kind of show it was. I was just glad they didn't pick 500 Miles or Wet, Wet, Wet or Fairground Attraction. No Pastels or Josef K but at least it was still fairly indie friendly
Flights
HmmYou have got quite a ribbing in this thread! make it all better by putting Cocteau Twins heaven or las vegas on next weeks list!

kirkt
Some right dodgy choices on last night's one...especially the inclusion of Proclaimers and Waterboys for the 90s, despite both songs being originally released in the 80s. And I don't really think Garbage were a Scottish band except Shirley Manson. Good calls on Teenage Fanclub and Cocteau Twins. Where was Mogwai and Arab Strap? I'd have also have had The Supernaturals...love their first album!

Guest Gladstone
THE SHAMEN!I fucking loved The Shamen when they first came out. I'm not going to listen to Move Any Mountain for fear of it being totally shit. It was brilliant when I was about 10.
