ELEMENT 106

Theres five of them and theyre named after the

HEAVIEST METAL. That should tell you everything.

DEADLOSS SUPERSTAR tbc

Edinburgh/Aberdeen based punk-rock band once

described thus: The sound is like that of an airliner

devastating gates 14-32 at JFK airport. Purgatorial

salvos of punk-metal played with the ice-cool polish of

the Deftones and an RATM-inspired battle-ready

momentum - Is This Music?

GHOSTS OF PROGRESS

Montroses finest combine punk, country, indie and

rock with the I know, Ill play guitar, sing lead vocals,

AND play drums at the same time ethic. Brilliant, and

a little bit mental. Pounding beats and blues riffs ahoy!

DOWNFALL

Aberdeens masters of blues-riff-thrash-metal. Always

top quality, and weve got them first on the bill! So you

better take a few quid and make a night of it.

Yes. It may be an epic car crash! I've never even met the drummer, and won't until the gig, I've had three weeks to learn all the songs, by ear, and one practice!

Bloody hell, clean forgot about those! I'll dig them out just for you. I have already booked my taxi back to Stoney just to make sure things don't get too messy.

Out!

Aye, can't disagree with that.

Downfall > N E X T

Was well disappointed with DMFS, they actually held things together, didn't fuck up much and brought loads of attitude and ruckus to their set. Disgraceful! </sarcasm>

Ghosts Of Progress were a good watch, simple but effective.

Don't remember much of E106's set, I was rather newscasted by the time they got going. My voice is totally knackered so I'm guessing there was lots of non-descript 'humour' eminating from my Jager stained mouth. bREEEEIN!

I'm off to curl up and die in a corner.

a fine night, which could have ended rather more badly if the AA hadn't rescued our soundman. how very apt, considering.

after Deadloss kindly donated their fee to the kitty, money raised hit 220 for the night. every little helps!

cheers if you made it along (although points off if you were the one abusing the girl with the charity tin, you fuckhead)

good night!

downfall were everything I hate about metal, nae offence

ghosts of progress were enjoyable, seen em before but this was much better, the tempo thing works against em but

deadloss were decent enough although it does kinda feel like it's lost something. rock harder fuckers. sorry for the coin throwing idea, blame the addlestones!

e106 were strange without a bassist. tony was on good form, great voice. shame there was no neon :(

good night!
