neepheid
I'm fairly certain I haven't even listened to 5 albums released this year, never mind 10.
Lemonade
According to my iPod I've only bought 10 albums in 2009. (Well actually I've probably bought hundreds, but only 10 that actually came out in 2009). And they are almost all shit.Black Eyed Peas - The E.N.D (*)Busta Rhymes - Back On My B.S (*)Eminem - RelapseLa Roux - La RouxLittle Boots - HandsLily Allen - It's Not Me It's You (*)Megadeth - EndgameWeezer - RaditudeNotorious soundtrack (*)Muse - The Resistance(* bought off a street peddler in Spain for 1) Musically, it's been a bad year for me.If I had to put them in order:1 - Eminem - Relapse2 - Little Boots - Hands3 - La Roux - La Roux4 - Muse - The Resistance5 - Black Eyed Peas - The E.N.D 6 - Notorious soundtrack7 - Weezer - Raditude8 - Megadeth - Endgame9 - Busta Rhymes - Back On My B.S 10 - Lily Allen - It's Not Me It's YouLily comes in last because I've never actually listened to this album, though I hate the song about premature ejaculation that was never off the radio in the summer. I don't even know why I bought it, I think I was just excited about getting stuff for free.
Guest Gladstone
You bought the Black Eyed Peas album?I fucking hate them, probably more than any band/artist right now. I can't believe anyone likes them or would consider purchasing any of their music - I just don't get it...EDIT: Just saw that you only paid 1. Still, what a waste of a pound. But that song "Tonight's Gonna Be A Good Night" makes me deliriously happy every time I hear it. It's maybe the most chirpy and upbeat song I've ever heard. I must be spectacularly missing something. The stuff My Humps and all that shit I could understand why folk would like it, and for a while I flirted with the idea of liking the Black Eyed Peas, pretty much up until the point I saw them at T in the Park years ago. My wife (then fiancee) really liked them and was keen to go watch, and I was interested enough to go along. They had something like a 40 minute slot, and the crowd to go see them was massive. They had a fucking warm up act. Some dude came out and did about 15 minutes of shit rapping to warm up for them. Then they came out and played about 5 songs. If I was a proper Black Eyed Peas fan I'd have been massively pissed off - they also filled a good 5 minutes with one of the guys break dancing, which is quite cool, but gets boring after about 30 seconds of the same move. However - all the new stuff is complete and utter garbage. That Tonight's Going to be a Good Night is one of the most repetitive boring songs I've ever heard. But, it's not a patch on the new one for shiteness. I forget what it's called, but I was sitting eating my supper a couple of Sundays ago, and X Factor results was on in the background. On comes Black Eyed Peas with that new song. The guy floats in on a wire from behind the crowd and man he can't sing, he can't rap, he's just talking these words, and it sounds awful. At least on the record, they've EQ'd the fuck out of his voice, but this just sounded like someone's Dad doing Green Green Grass of Home on Karaoke. And I really don't think they're even decent club tunes. They're in a middle ground between shit pop music and shit dance music.Again - I just don't get it. Lemonade
Is all of this CD as good as the Jay-Z/Santogold track? The rest of the album is all Biggie songs. It's got some fantastic tracks on it but if you've already got his albums you'll have most of them already.
