Diesel
A nugget of punditry from The Boy Line-aker.....In reference to Luca Toni's squandered chances - he said something like...."there were missed chances both prior to and preceeding the goal". Christy
Do the commentators and analysts on BBC and ITV piss everyone else off, or is it just me? David Pleat is by far the most insightful and intelligent pundit doing the rounds, but he spoils his valid points with his glaring inability to string a fluid sentence together when something exciting happens. And he cannot pronounce any name that is remotely tough, such as Camoronese. Mark Lawrenson is cursed by his screaming campness. He also makes smart observations, but should be kept the hell away from Motson. The two of them together is painful. Actually, Mark Bright is equally camp, and equally unable to string together a coherent sentence when the game hots up. I like Jonathon Pearce on BBC and that fella that used to do the late night Dutch fitba on Five (Tim Caple, I believe). The rest can get fucked. Especially that ITV customer, not Clive Tyldesley, but the other one. The guy who talks entirely in tabloid headlines.Maybe Gerry McNee wasn't that bad after all. Then again...Love from Christy

The young lad who presents on ITV said something about how Switzerland should be better because of their placing between France and Italy and he turned round and half barked 'What's that got to do with football?'. I thought he was going to nut him.To be fair he was right though, why the fuck would Switzerland be a great team because they're beside France and Italy? I thought he was going to nut him.To be fair he was right though, why the fuck would Switzerland be a great team because they're beside France and Italy?Maybe because football having a high cultural importance encourages more kids to play which leads to better competition and higher quality (which played a part in Italy and France having (in the not so distant past _) top teams) and the fact that countries which are next to one another are often similar culturally...but yeah, it was pretty irrelevant. Paranoid Android
As always the BBC pundits are much better than ITV's. Andy Townsend isn't as bad as he used to be but he's still not great. Bolo Zended and the like add nothing and are worthless. Plus ITV has a reall cheap feel about it with the studio being in London and not Austria or Switzerland.BBC has a real mixed bag but Martin O'Neil and Gordon Strachan are both great and really insightful, but their a little under used. Hansen is still the best, but only when he can be arsed, which hasn't been often in this tournament. Shearer is a joke they need to get rid of him. Mark Bright is incredibly annoying. And, What is the point of Garth Crooks?????

Christy
Oooocha, weren't Russia fantastic tonight? Looks like Holland can't perform when they're favourites, they absolutely spaffed it. Not as much as the ref, mind...Love from Christy

Guest Jake Wifebeater
I can and will, now i know it irks you somewhat i may do it more often It doesn't irk me at all chimp, you just sound bloody silly talking about a country which you weren't born in or live in as if you're part of it in some way, which you aren't. You can cheer on as many club sides as you want but you can't just adopt a different nationality like changing your brand of smokes. Just gives people more ammo to slag you off with, and you've had more than your fair share of on-line slaughterings about football on here. RossP
Jings crivvens!! I was really really regretting putting 100 on a Germany win. I owe Mr and Mrs Lahm a christmas card!!Great tournament!

RossP
Russia and Spain wll be fancying their chances in the final if Germany perform like that again. Would love it if either of them won the tournament... preferably Russia, so Motty n'co don't cream themselves over Torres, Alonso and Fabregas taking the trophy back to Ennnnggggerland. Diesel
Yep, it's been a disappointing tournament thus far...The sweaty, greasy Greek we-civilised-the-world-but-have-done-sweet-fuck-all-since holders took an early shower. Then we were bored to death when the Surrender Monkeys lost to the Rifle Droppers who in turn lost to the midget Dagos. The Kiddie Porn & Drugs Orangemen then got beaten by those Pinko Commie Fucks and the Gyppo Croatians lost to the untrustworthy Kebab Salesmen, who went on to get robbed by the Aryan Nazi Bastards. So we're left with...Nazis vs Commies or DagosThe most disappointing thing about this tournament though, has been the levels of racism and stereotyping of these fine athletes.Live and let live, that's what I say. We're all Jock Tamson's bairns after all.Diesel.Ps : Call the cops - Turkey were fucking ROBBED tonight
