Rachie
For me my fave little known/slightly hated biscuit will always be Cafe Noir biscuits...I happened across a shop that sold them tonight on the way home from town. Very happy. Totally worth the 99p they set me back..As for Garibaldi I don't believe I've ever tried them! So I cannot be a hater... one day I shall... but not today... Guest MDP
they are disgusting. eating cardboard is cheaper, and even tastier:D
Rass
was that like takeover tv?I think so, it was always on after female fronted games-fest 'Bits', prolly around 2000/2001, back when Ch4 had the rights to certain PPV wrestling events n that. I remember the name Takeover TV but i dont remember ever watching it.

Rass
Takeover was the Adam show? that rings a bell actually, it was on much later.Vids was the bomb, Stef and Nige were a quality duo, i cant begin to understand why they are no longer gracing our screens!Awesome Vids Fansite
John C
i seem to remember from my dad always watching taggart, he used to call them fly biscuits. i still liked them, but went through a faze of picking out the raisins and eating the cardboard after that

Bits was a poor imatation of Vids which housed some quality lines from the blonde welshman reveiwing the shitest videos around. It was all shot in Glasgow.Takeover TV however was also quality. People were just allowed to send in their home made sketches in. I dont think Adam Buxton presented it although he and Joe Cornish started out their career by sending in stuff every week to the point where Channel 4 recognised their total quality and gave them their own show.Ah the good old days. Bass Cadet
They used to have little green packets of them in Army Ration Packs - I learned to like them. They are also quite good for making Bread and Butter Pudding believe it or not. All that custard improves the cardboard texture.

the_collector
Apparently some people like the fig roll a little too much........http://www.nicecupofteaandasitdown.com/biscuits/fig/It's been many a year since i've had one but the utter disappointment of finding only fig rolls in the biscuit tin, as a youngster, lives with me still. Bass Cadet
Wow that is taking it a bit far! I see Asda have the highest fig content though, I'll have to start buying from them. Do fig rolls count as part of your "5-a-Day"
the_collector
I thought Sainsbury's looked like a good all-rounder stats wise. I'm sure a couple of fig rolls in your diet would get you a little closer to the recommended 5-a-day, but don't they have laxative properties? Lazy Gun
Fig rolls are the mutts nuts, their like jaffa cakes, once you have one you've gotta eat em all.
the_collector
Or perhaps like Pringles? Once you pop you can't stop.............................or is that just the laxative effect i'm thinking of again!
Bass Cadet
I've never experienced any laxitive effects and I can scoff packets at a time when I'm in the munchy zone. Are you thinking of Dates or Prunes? I get muddled up too!
