beeker
Well actually Africa has Kilamingaro which has snow all year round.actually thats an untruth now - I think last year for the first time ever there was no snow - just the clacier - which doesn't count. Something like first time in 50 million years that there has been no snow.i could be wrong tho.

some_kinda_hate
Could be worse' date=' you could be in Thurso, its kinda like Africa, but with the snow. No 24 hours shops, no cinema, no good off licences, no people worth socialising with(ok, there's one person to socialise with), everyone is either a chav or a redneck and well, its just shit!Christmas sucks![/quote']Yes, that is a shame, but the way I feel inside just feels crap. They're probably really happy and don't even realise there are such things in life anyway. It's not what you have that counts anyway.. just how you feel. Bass Cadet
just make sure its a turkey pot noodle.Humbug. I've never felt so down about christmas before.DittoChristmas is for kids and folk who have either a family who care about them or a friend who cares about them enough to ditch thier own family. If you dont fit into any of those categories, Christmas is depressing & generally poo!I used to live in Leswalt - a very small village just nearby Stranrear. I did my first gig there in the village hall 17 years ago to the day so wierd jealous nostalgia trippinoneastereggs!

catherine
ive never been to troon. ive meet some people from there recently and was supposed to go for a visit. but they always just come through to ayr. ive got everything i need here :-)
trippinoneastereggs
ive got everything i need here :-) You cant need a lot there. I remember when the Menzies in ayr stopped selling toys. People from stranraer think Ayr is the bomb and everyone goes there christmas shopping even though it is just a little bit less shite than stranraer. Plus another half an hour and your in glasgow... catherine
well you dont need much. ive got friends, places to shop for food, some clothes, some decent pubs and clubs, cause there are only 3 clubs everyone i know is always in the same one. so its always a decent night out. and glasgow aint too far away for gigs and what not.plus we have the beach. skuzzlebutt
when i was your age (sorry to sound condescending) ok...when i was younger...in my teens i always got depressed before christmas, irrespective of where i was or how may mates/ bars/ cinemas/ potato powered clock conventions/ etc. there were around...now i'm old and decrepit...i really couldn't give a shit....and don't get depressed about it any more...my point? its another day make the most of it... we will only have a limited number of them.... before you know it you are old and farty....merry christmas?! feeble!
Ok things arent looking very merry for me at the moment. I'm at Home in the middle of fucking nowhere in quite possibly scotlands most backwards town. Just discovered none of my mates are going to be home for Christmas' date=' so i have noone to go to the pub in, have a dissertation due in on the ninth so I am supposed to be working on that. None of my family are coming for christmas dinner on Christmas day so It'll just be my Mum, Dad and myself. Apparently half of my presents havent arrived, im skint and cant buy anyone else presents, my tiny single bed is possibly the most uncomfortable thing i've ever slept in, the heating is on too high, my parents watch the news all the time and there's nowhere to smoke slyly.I am beginning to see Scrooges point.[/quote']Argh, not being able to smoke - nightmare!
