Rachie
It should go after a couple of days, after the Blaze gig last year I had it bad in just the one ear (the one that was next to the speaker ). If it's still bothering you come the weekend see your doctor.
Ch Black
Also at night listen to music or something so that you don't notice it as much when trying to get to sleep.

Guest Gasss
It should go down with time but permanent hearing damage is cumulative. There are no treatments for tinnitus due to noise exposure, only masking techniques to distract you from it. The best thing you can do is wear earplugs at gigs. Lexicon Devil
In bad cases it can last a few days. Let this be a lesson and start using high earplugs at gigs or any place with loud music. Not only will the gig sound better but you'll feel better. The foam ones are cheap and very effective. I have used some others and found that in the likes of Moshulu, even they aren't strong enough to avoid ringing ears. Some venues seem to play music far too loud. You'll appreciate it long-term. Larsen B
When i was in my dad's office at manchester airport a couple of years ago there was a whole cupboard full of earplugs for staff working around planes taking off and stuff. I should have grabbed a heap, although they would maybe block out the music altogether.
Chris
I should have grabbed a heap' date=' although they would maybe block out the music altogether.[/quote']yup they would've. Go into R&B, they sell sepcialist earplug that cut out the most damaging frequencies and still let you hear the music. They're not for everyone though and personally I still prefer to go without. Guest Page 99
Converge's Bassist destroyed my hearing at Dundee two years ago, but it was all fine within like 5 days, just keep quiet music on at all times if the ringing is irritating you. Playing in Evac however will probibly fuck my hearing up a fair bit, so now I wear earplugs in the practise room, so I can actualy hear by the time i'm 25. Guest onlynik
My hearing has deteriorated over the years, I have quite a large drop in the 4KHz range, and thats just over 3 years.
Guest Gasss
Your ears can adapt to the sound with earplugs, same as it can adapt to ear-splitting destruction. If I'm playing a gig, I have to use them during soundcheck and watching other bands as well. I can't hear anything if I pop them in just before I go onstage. Scootray
Yeah, just because you think your hearing is good just now, doesn't mean the music isn't having an effect. You might wake up one morning wishing that you maybe hadn't been standing so close to the speakers, as gradual damage builds up, and fucks yer hearing altogether. PrincessHolly
My ex boyfriend has had tinnitus for 4 years now which bothers him mostly at night when it's quiet and nothing's going on. So he ends up phoning anyone who'll talk to him until he falls asleep just so he doesn't have to listen to rrrrrrrrrriiiiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnnngggggggggggg for hours on end. Danny Doubt
to prevent tinnitus use the inverse square law...the further away you are the quieter it will be meaning less damage to your hearing. Ears are irreplaceable once damaged thats it im afraid! As far as the music being too loud in moshulu if it is then maybe you should have word in sum1's ear as it's illegal doubt they will hear you like they will probably have tinnitus too!
