Dinosaur
"Moonlight Sonata" don't know who its by though. creepy.
belladonnaleaves
isn't moonlight sonata beethoven? Anyways, just thought i'd say don't worry if you consider some music you've heard mildly unsettling, creepy, disturbing, scary or downright petrifying, just stick it in the thread. Some of the twin peaks soundtrack is pretty unsettling, when yer in the right mood. The original "lady in the radiator song" (in heaven) from eraserhead is especially freaky in the context of the film. Nurse with wound's "soliloquy for lilith" is disturbing, though not exactly what you'd call tradional "music". The title track off linda perhacs "paralellograms" has a nice odd haunting middle bit. Some of king crimsons stuff like "lark tongues in aspic" has weird and surreal moments that i consider creepy. And i suppose recently, fantomas's "delerium cordia" was an exercise in gothic evilness.Plus the melvins and lustmord's collaboration, and most of lustmords own solo stuff (the place where the black stars hang -especially)cheers, jan
less_than_stu
Ummm...shit. I had one a second ago, and I've gone and forgotten it. bugger. I'm sure it had something to do with Dans Macabre though.
Knight of Swords
Phaedra by Tangerine Dream is creepy, although when I was wee, the funny duck noises at the end of Bike by Pink Floyd used to freak me out a bit.
ZeromiserY
a lot of classical music is surprisingly creepy. also heard some of this experimental stuff while i was at college. now that freaked me out. i think it was more the fact that the video that accompanied the music had the composer tied up naked behind him

Benji
Creepiest Song/Video - 'The becoming' by the nine inch nails, it was sung at the home of former serial killer Charles Manson..In the same room where 13 people were brutally murdered..And to add to effect they sang it on a stormy night, and recorded all the storm noises...although the band were completley unaware of this fact when they recorded.Weeks later the house was torn down, and reznor kept hold of the door that someone had written 'Die' in Pigs blood on...haha, reading this seems fake, but I asure you all that every detail is true! I think!!

Knight of Swords
Phaedra does a fantastic job of sending me to sleep every night! That album and Rubycon are both good for that. You realise the rarity of meeting someone who listens to Tangerine Dream? I only know about a dozen people who've actually heard of them.
