Reasons for drinking?

Fluffy

Recommended Posts

i have no need to drink for social reasons. i'm confident and outgoing enough to deal without it, but i like the taste and sometimes i like to get completely fucked up. the thing is fluffy, are you one of those people who doesn't drink or one of those people who doesn't drink and likes to make a point of it a look on disapprovingly as others monkey around because that'd explain why people try and get u to take a bev. i have no problem with people that don't drink but there's no need to be a cunt and spoil a good time for everyone who does. i can't be arsed with people who look down on others for whatever reason. if it concerns you that people go out and get all kinds of fucked up, stay at home.

there's nothing wrong with sticking a bottle of jim beam in ur back pocket and going party jumping round aberdeen and telling stories all the while :D

oh come on' date=' you can't like the taste! that's like saying "i only put petrol in my car because i like the smell". We ALL drink to get absolutely muntered. face it.[/quote']

I love the taste of a good Cosmopolitan, and it would taste entirely different without the Absolut Citron Vodka...

Yes there's the added bonus (depending on how you look at it) that a few of those babies gets you quite pissed, but when it comes down to it if I don't like the taste of a drink then I won't drink it :p

For the person who gave me a neg saying -" Lay off the alkies; there's nothing wrong with it, you're starting to sound ellitist."

i didnt say there was anything wrong with it. i think you are insecure. i am elitest because i dont enjoy drinking? riiiight...

is it not alittle sad that some people have to drink to unwind?
does it make people uncomfy that there are people who are happy to have a good time without it?

Personally, i found those sentences to be pretty snobby, haughty, perhaps borderline 'liquid elitism'. There's nothing wrong with people who drink at all, for the most folks it's just another part of a good night out, along with 'pulling', dancing, socialising.... i've always had a feeling that straight edgers' look down their noses at people who drink, it's not as if 99% of club/pub goers are alcoholics, i've survived nearly a month (around 8/9 nights in all different clubs) without drinking - or going cold turkey. I think it's just part of the national mind-set, that it's so acceptable... not a handicap or defect.

Sake's got a very strong taste doesn't it?

Its a hard drink to compare anything to, like a smooth vodka but distilled from rice, its a wine but has the kick of a spirit.....it can have a strong taste if your not used to it I guess?

Maybe I've just drunk too much of the stuff and have got immune to it ;)

im very sorry if people got that impression. i sometimes find it hard, esp over the internet, to express myself fully or properly.

i have no problem with people drinking. within reason, people should be able to do what they want. i just like knowing what people think

Im with Mr Coco ass on this. Although Im not pissed off with your view Fluffy. Just that after working an 80 hour week, a decent drink is a good way to unwind.

P.S, I fucking love getting shitfaced

The reason I drink is to get fucking munted. The world is a much nicer place after a few jars. I'm not a people person at all, don't feel comfortable in most social settings, so getting drunk removes the discomfort I generally feel when out and about.

OK kids' date=' here's the real reason you all drink.

It's to keep you in your place and stop you thinking too much.

YOU are being controlled.[/quote']

Really??? Surely not!!! ;)
