Alan Cynic
Somewhere about the 350 mark, I reckon (14 self-released cassettes, 3 self released CDs, 3 "proper" vinyl albums, 3 "proper" CD releases.)How many of them are worth hearing would be a different matter!!! Guest davetherave
This post brought back memories, I guess I have two phases with my songwriting.Phase 1 - playing in mid 80s post punk indie band (Bristol Area) about 30 songs with lyrics.Phase 2 - stopped playing in covers bands about 5 years ago and focussed on my own guitar ambient soundscape thingies, songs recorded that I would allow other people to hear, probably about 120. Website soon to be launched with downloadable mp3s!Amazing how much easier it is to write stuff without lyrics

punchy
well all the songs i've written without music would total around more than 500, i don't write as much as i used to, i've only written a few songs recently
The Ghost Of Fudge
deadloss have only written 6 or 7 in the last 2 years. but then we hardly ever practice what with the different cities thing. we are not prolific, although our standards are high...bands writing songs (rather than individuals) have a tendency to faff rather a lot. this may only apply to bands i know intimately.songs by committee, a good or a bad thing? i find it's best if a couple of members pull the strings and impose their will. and craig deadloss is not a man it's easy to impose your will upon. TR!ΔNGL€ T€€TH
About 30ish with my current drummerless band... I don't write lyrics so i always have to wait for the bass player or the other guitarist to come up with ones, which can be a bit frustrating. Jimmy Lucifer
Mmmm... at a guess I would say between 100 - 150. There might be more (a lot of acoustic songs I wrote I've long since forgotten about) but I can't be sure.
Paulscoconutass
I have written about 12 songs for Onion Terror and co-wrote about 8 with Last Time Perfect. I don't see the point in having about 100 songs that are hard to chose from, our ethos is to write new ones when people get bored hearing our current ones, or something like that. I also find it hard to write a few songs within a month or so without them all sounding similar.

Tav
Personally...none. Just riffs and little progressions. The band...well must be 20 or more now. A good few have been lost thought.
Wishbone G
Personally...none. Just riffs and little progressions. Yeh that pretty much sounds like my situation. Ive got a whole load of riifs, chord sequences, etc, but nothing ever becomes definate into a song, let alone gets lyrics put on it.
Daniel
id say around 100 fully written lyrics, for altitude-0 i wrote about 6 and co-wrote 2, my new project ive written 2, but ive got about a million bits of screap paper that contain a verse and nothing else
