Soda Jerk
Chemistry of Common Life?Decent record, though I barely listen to them since seeing them live. They are a live band for sure. It just doesn't translate on record.
Jaaakkkeee
That's the one. Haven't given it a good listen yet. I haven't even heard them before then.
Eupraxia
Right on. I like everything he's released, yet so many releases get such a bashing and I don't know why. My favourite is actually the one in your avatar. The production is perfect, and the melodies are just lovely, yet quite haunting. It's just so saturated, in the best possible play. Ascension is just fantastic though. Broadrick just writes genuinely great songs. Jesu are thoroughly brilliant. Ideal for listening to with headphones on when it's raining outside. If your skull isn't rumbling, it's not loud enough.Opiate Sun is just absolutely beasting. The first two tracks melt my face every time I listen. Amazing walking music, accompanied by scowls at tourist twats with poor pavement etiquette in Edinburgh.
Soda Jerk
Losing Streak is amazing. That thud on the floor tom in the intro before the 100 layers of guitar tracks come storming in is makes me lose my shit.

I'd love to be in Glasgow on the 2nd of December to see them play live

Are these two any good?I suppose it depends what you found boring about that album, I like these 2 more than the debut, no vocals, just riff strewn instrumentals. That's right up my street but may not be for you!
