It's the Ram's Head - I wanted the 78ic with Mids but Mike thought this would be better with the delay. It's got a more vocal kinda tone to it that works really well with the delay as it modulates or goes into self oscillation. I don't know what I'm gonna do with it, it sounds so different from the Dreambox that I could easily use them both on the same board. Right now I've got it on a wee spare board with just trem, reverb and a looper, tempted to ditch everything else, shove the Dreambox on as well and see what happens at the next gig.

King Khan - I really enjoyed this, garage rock isn't usually my thing but they seemed to be having a great time and that helped me get into it. I'd love to see them live. Paul Cary - Workmanlike. More Steve Earle or John Cougar Mellencamp than Dylan for me, but done well enough. Nothing stands out really, good or bad. This is a solid average record that I'll never listen to again. PC Worship - There's something about being wilfully bad or tuneless that I usually like if there's a great song waiting to be discovered underneath, these songs aren't good enough for that. Again it's ok rather than great - I'd listen to their next record but this one is too weak to be so badly/lazily recorded.

I've decided to get my Jazzmaster refinished - Kinellar Guitars seems to be the only place local to Aberdeen that does that kind of thing. Anyone had work done by them, and if so - good/bad/indifferent?

Some of those shows are this weekend and would have been announced months ago, you missed them. Improved Thinker needs to improve.

I have thought about that - some kind of fitness challenge would be a good plan (I am definitely the fattest guitarist in Aberdeen).

Wouldn't it be better to know about the things that are on, instead of just when the things are on? Actual work to learn about the plays/musicals and some comments based on the content rather than just a lazy copy and paste of times and dates would have made this a relevant thread, and maybe saved you from getting so much stick......... A new agency to Aberdeen, called PRG. Yeah - more than they had to give me, my employer has actually been as good as they can be throughout the process, just felt weird this afternoon because I'm the last man standing and my job is now to close the office down.

Feeling Strange Accepted a redundancy offer today. Got another job to go to and I'm getting a nice chunk of change as a pay off, but I am actually redundant for the next month - no longer needed or useful. It's an awful word to label someone with.

I think that the really strange thing about this thread (and every other thread Cool/Improved Thinker has been involved with) is a poster that only wants to send information out but never expresses an opinion on the subject. Almost as if he wants to make people talk about things just to see if he can. Like a deranged social scientist using hapless musicians (and people who like music) as his lab rats, only allowed to know the things he wants us to know. Looked to me like Russell and Davies were both trying to slow down when they realised they weren't getting there in time - wouldn't have said either had much choice in what happened. But my point still stands - if those incidents are yellow cards, and there's a penalty against Webb for that tackle - he's got to go in the bin too hasn't he?

Brave defeats? Robbed by a bad referee that can't tell the fucking time!! No check with the TMO to see if we were over the line at the end of the first half or before chalking off the try in the 2nd half either. VERY soft yellows for Russell and Davies but nothing for Webb after he high tackled Hidalgo-Clyne. No control over constant obstruction by Wales - they had so many blockers it looked like the NFL game at times. We played well enough to win, all things being equal, very frustrating.
