  1. I plum forgot about that one. Chris, I never played Outlaws but I heard that was a pretty fun game. To be honest, the last Western themed game I played before RRR was Call of Juarez, but I really wasn't a fan of that at all.
  2. The best Western themed game I've ever played, and I've played Sunset Riders AND Mad Dog McCree!
  3. Ha ha! Excellent! There's a great bit in the novel Bear V Shark where the author e-mails loads of zoologists asking what would win in a fight and gets very few useable responses...
  4. False, especially if I've ate the seafood at Blackfriars and then went shopping. I must hold the landspeed record for that dash from HMV's DVD section to their toilets. Ultimately, home is always best, but a public toilet is always better then a public embarrasment. TPBM should probably give their mum a phone, yeah?
  5. Yeah, they consulted with professionals who probably said something like: "Ugh, really? I guess so."
  6. True! Bursting for a wee, though. TPBM has the Chucklevision theme stuck in his or her head.
  7. Truish. Only my sideburns are. I purposefully went red once. TPBM finds themselves watching 'Two and A Half Men' more often than they'd really like to.

    Pet Hates!

It bothers me, even though it shouldn't. It's not as bad as 'rediculous' or 'loose' instead of 'lose' though.
  9. Any other Arrested Development fans on here? That show was pretty great, but really got the short shrift by Fox and when it was broadcast over here.
  10. I can't say I know enough about the band's internal politics since I haven't really followed them since JNCO jeans and dreadlock-beards were all the rage, but it's hard to tell. I'm pretty sure the unmasking is more of a respect thing than a statement of intent at this stage. I'm weirdly bummed by this even though I haven't been a fan for probably over a decade. They're a gateway band to a lot of people and I'm sure they'll go on, it just seems like a goofy, fun adolescent innocence they had has gone. It's like seeing someone roll up a joint on a Spawn comic. Bad analogy. What I mean is: they seemed like superheroes to my spotty, awkward, angry adolescent self and the spell seems sadly broken.
  11. Crystal Castles - Crystal Castles (II) (tsk, two self titled albums in a row? Those crazy punks!) Verdict: I liked the shouty faux-chiptune on the first album and was intially a bit disappointed they'd dispensed with it slightly, but they've grown too making the first album seem a little shallow in comparison. LCD Soundsystem - This is Happening Verdict: Good. Dance Yr Self Clean might be one of the best songs I've ever heard.
  12. I wonder what the musical sweet spot in terms of age is? Teenagers aren't cool contary to popular belief, they form bands like Brokencyde or spend all their time growing shit looking long hair and fapping over Metallica too much to make good music. James Murphy's just disbanded LCD Soundsystem at 40, Alan Vega didn't start Suicide until he was 33 and Scatman John didn't have a hit untl he was 52, and they all rock over London. I guess it maybe comes down to lyrical content and audience? Blink 182 and The Offspring all looked pretty dumb pretty quickly, but there's something terrifying and incredible about aging '77 Punks. Old guys who are still in bands without doing the whole 'I'm a teenager paaaaaarty ' or deciding to spend their twilight years making African folk-skiffle are great. There's something that makes it okay for Iggy Pop to do insurance adverts, like he's just went "Fuck you, I made 'The Idiot' and 'Raw Power', I owe you nothing."
  13. Serious post: Is Nintendocore an actual thing I've missed. If so, what are it?
  14. The EE's music coverage is top notch! They used to have Sandi Thom write a column and everything!
  15. Wouldn't dotdotcurve be ..( or ..) ? I'm being pendantic, but I worry that these kids don't seem to know what a colon is.
  16. I popped my ass once. It needed 18 stitches and never healed quite right.
  17. An...image...macro...(GASP!) My...(cough)...greatest...weakness! They tend not to write 'zany' webcomics or send picture of their penises to 14yr old girls either. Tim Buckley is an arse, but I'm derailing the thread and worrying myself with how much I know about a webcomic I dislike on the internet. Sorry, this was the wrong place to bring it up, but that strip makes my blood boil, which is I recognise is kind of pathetic on my part.
  18. Tim Buckely not caring about Heroes is pretty rich coming from a guy who makes a 'living' off of a VIDJAGAEMS webcomic that scintillatingly detailed his girlfriend's miscarriage in a multi-part arc...

    Pet Hates!

I'll get Trading Standards on you!
  20. If it wasn't called 'The Office', I think British people would give it an easier ride. It's a fine enough program in its own right.
  21. The typical shallow, chauvinistic response I'd expect on this board... The rest of her looks incredible too. She's got good things ahead of her in that show
