  3. If so, how many points is a Blink182 fan worth? Do they attack trucks full of Vans trainers and Hurley hats instead of fuel tankers?
  4. I imagine you've all seen this, but what the Hell: Look at this fucking hipster

Ah, but this also means less swaggering neds showing off their scrawny chicken-dippers and Sunny-D fed bodies and making me want to puke. Clouds, silver linings and all that. Quite literally since the clouds are the issue here.
  6. Just out of curiosity, and I'm not doing this to make any kind of point, just to move this thread somewhere positive, what's everybody's favourite art work and why? While I'm have trouble choosing my #1 BEST ART EVER #1, I really loved Ron Mueck's exhibition at the art gallery a few months back. Being around these sculptures was really uncanny and the sense of scale seemed to amplify the emotions I felt from each piece. Also, loads of his work was nude and nudity is hilarious. Especially yours, tiny!
  7. Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar, but other times it's a big, throbbing, veiny cigar.
  8. Yeah, that was me practising my ninja moves on my roof just in some leather trousers and shades no big deal made the city shake is all.
  9. See my above posts, I conceded that my catagorisation was weak and based on lazy stereotyping and more of a rant than an argument.
  10. Actually, that's a totally fair response and I respect it. It was kind of childish of me to generalise so much, but I got off on a bit of a rant. I also came across as a bit of a prick, full disclosure. I still stand by my confusion that the idea of the 'common man or woman' we're presented with by the media generally doesn't include someone who's prone to think about things. Let me put it another way: Why is Joe Average seen as an ideal type? Britain generally (and by this, I think I mean the British media, maybe) LOVES a story about an ordinary person made good, but hates it if anyone dares gets 'above' themselves. What's with that?
  11. They spend their time shooting pasta out of their purses. There's trash culture a-plenty for all, thankfully/sadly. Tabloids, Big Brother, package holidays, etc. You're right that my examples were a bit willycentric, though. Sorry for that.
  12. Can you expand on that? I'm generally interested on why people take such violent reactions to things sometimes. Those are just my feelings on it. I do believe Britain celebrates people who go 'I'm just a simple lad, me! None o' yer arty-farty stuff for me! Just the footy and a pint of bitter!' a little too much.
  13. Perhaps because people in Britain generally tend to be suspicious of people who deviate from the things that allow them to identify as a 'good, proper bloke'. I'm not sure if it's a class-culture thing or if it's a masculinity thing or what. Proper bloke approved: Football Top Gear Ready Salted flavoured Rock 'n Roll American films with gangsters in Proper art with fields and people and stuff you can hang in the shitter A bit weird and suspicious: Books without spys and mysterys in Films without proper endings and accordian music. self-expression of any form bands that haven't got a Best Of out and aren't advertised with Zane Lowe saying 'Featuting the hit single...' Girls giving birth to Heinz products on gallery floors. Then do it! Internet messageboards might laugh at you, but part of the beauty of our society is that both responses are valid.
  14. Just to be clear, we're on the same side. I was being a little facetious to stir debate.
  15. Art is John Constable and Monet, but that dotty-painting fucker is pushing it.

This is a good rant. It's like Charlie Brooker if he crashed a van into toxic waste like the gloopy guy in RoboCop.
  17. Bike? No. Starbucks is way too mainstram, Brosef Stalin! Kilau or bust.
  18. I like Sleigh Bells because they're LOUD. I don't get dynamics and subtlty and all that. Also a song that sounds like Alec Empire that's about being rewarded with ice-cream for doing well in school is great. It's like being 9 in aural form.
  19. I'll be your friend. Please find my hipster CV below: Currently have three issues of Vice Magazine in my bathroom. I've even read the articles. Checks Pitchfork semi-regulary Listens to M.I.A. and Sleigh Bells on purpose Owns thick rimmed glasses I need them to see, though I don't have a vag, but I do like spaghetti I would totally watch someone put it in their vag and seriously consider why they decided to do it as a performance I actually liked Juno I actually don't mind what this girl is doing. Trying and failing at something creative is a million times cooler than watching Eastenders or playing Call of Duty all night again. Hopefully her bravery/total lack of shame will serve her well.
