    Your current read?

Cats Cradle is very good, but I bit closer to actual sci-fi than some of his other stuff. Not quite Player Piano or Sirens of Titan in that regard, though.
  2. What are some of your favourite games? I got a lot of value from Fallout 3 and its add-ons.

This is incredible. I want a BBC News style scrolling tickertape telling what this guy is doing. He must surely have some kind of mix cd. Has Maximum 1993 been released recently, or something?

No Limits is an incredible song. It hasn't diminished in the slightest since its heady days as a Primary 6 Youth Club classic. Not sure if it'd like to hear it looped out of a guy's window, though...

Ugh, yeah. I was actually pretty worried about going to Manchester a couple of weeks back because I expected it to be full of jerks like that. Didn't encounter one. Infact, a night out there was more pleasant and relaxed with less tension than one in Aberdeen, Still, that scene's casualties are generally really awful and the music doesn't really do it for me. I have a retro tracksuit top I sometimes zip right up, though. I got it from Retrospect and it looks pretty good on me!
  6. They Live is a masterpiece.

That's me told :O I just kind of associate them with people who load them full of easily accesible stuff and singles, but I've been corrected. Sorry! *slinks off all embarrassed*

I'm a bit wary of hipster hate because it's sometimes directed at people who are merely fashion concious, creative or curious. I mean, hipsters actually go to gigs and share photos and stuff. That's a good thing, I think. Some people are just posers though, and they're dicks regardless. I wanted to rep this, but I have to spread some around apparently. It IS one of the nanos I have, which I assume is what you were thinking of. Not one of those god-awful shuffles though, the MP3 Player for people who hate music.
  9. The hammer corridor in Oldboy. It's just a proper scrap.
  10. False. I'm going to have to go and Wikipedia him, as I have no clue who he is. If he was famous, like Dawn of the Dead's Ken Foree, I might know who he was, though. TPBM has feigned an interest in football to try and ease a strained social engagement. EDIT: Oh, THAT Chopper. He's certainly got a singular kind of charisma.

Do any of you have one of those iPods you can shake to shuffle the tracks? I fucking hate when you find a track that you like and drop the thing back in your pocket only for the shuffle to go. GOD!
  12. My favourite thing to happen so far is when I hit a curved rock and the game glitched and my horse did a sweet jump like Dukes of Hazzard.
  13. True. I also had a short lived children's sit-com smash with 'Keenan and Kel', but the success of that sadly never transferred into big screen success. TPBM's mind is blown by the fact the dad in Keenan and Kel was played by Dawn of the Dead's Ken Foree.
  14. This is excellent news. Well deserved. I have to admit that I generally agree that the venues seem to be thinning a bit. I still miss Drakes. I saw some incredible, weird stuff there.
  15. EDIT: I shoul probably explain this is because of her meltdown on air...
  16. True, but I have to pretend Kim Catrall is reprising her role of Gracie Law in Big Trouble in Little China and it's a spin off. Sarah Jessica-Parker is the beast that hangs onto Jack Burton's truck at the end. TPBM has said 'You too!' before when someone wished them a Happy Birthday.
  17. Unconfirmed. From what I read on here, though, I probably have TPBM has had an awkward goodbye with a friend of a friend where they go in for a European cheek-kiss, but you extend your hand for a handshake, so they then extend THEIR hand but by that point you're already trying to kiss them.

GASP! I thought you'd have been up to speed on Kurt (we're on first name terms). You're in for some treats.
  19. Listen, Spineshank were Nu-Metal Kings. That's what you've learned today. I remember reading that they went into record their second album at the same time as Korn, tried to keep up with Korn's partying and ended up blowing their entire advance without an album to show for it. They all went and got menial jobs (what other kind could nu-metallers get, really?) and then made a boneshaking second album that had glitchy vocals and stuff on it. Kings. Not that I'd listen to them now or anything.

    Your current read?

Dalton Trumbo's 'Johhny Got His Gun' was the last book I finished. It took me a while to get through, in all honesty. It's utterly, utterly bleak, but the best anti-war books seem to recognise the absurdity in the situation, I find. 'One' by Metallica is based on this book, fact-fans! I'm reading 'Pattern Recognition' by William Gibson. Really good so far. I might even prefer it to Neuromancer. It still feels cyberpunky despite being set and released about 7 years ago. Some of it's even archaic! (Characters carrying mini DVD players around with them seems odd in light of the amount of common devices that play video that have been released in the past few years).
