  1. Seeing as you'd be using it for design, it might be worth looking at those HP pavillion thingies. They've got the touch screen built in so you wouldn't need to splash out on a tablet and pen, if you don't have one already. The 3gb ram one comes in at your budget limit too.
  2. Holy shittin bumflaps! Just saw the final score. I really regret not watching it now.
  3. I vaguely remember those Quesers. Laudrup wore Patricks and, being Danish, probably Hummel clothes. Whatever happened to Hummel? I remember Lineker endorsing some stupid ball on a lead contraption called kickmaster. You kicked it and it magically came back. I remember thinking... hmm kicking the ball against a wall would be better. When a toy is no better than a wall, you know it's shit. Must have items of clothing from my era included Helly Hansen jackets, Elesse jumpers, any type of 'poppers' except Active (2 stripes does not a cool kid make) and Adidas sambas which later gave way to shell toes. The minkers wore those "Eclipse" bomber jackets. ...what was this thread all about again?
  4. Thanks for that, here's me thinking I'd have to watch the news and read the papers for that kind of in-depth analysis of the property market.
  5. looking forward to this: 21me FESTIVAL de DOUR // 16 17 18 19 Juillet 09 DJ Krush and IAM X were highlights last year, Aphex Twin, Dropkick Murphys, Gojira shall be getting seen this year.
  6. The most American looking crowd ever! Was like an abercrombie and fitch comercial. Not an indie kid or a ned in sight. This adds nothing to the thread, just an observation.
  7. This is why Remi gaillard got 'famous' in the first place... YouTube - REMI GAILLARD (THE GREATEST IMPOSTORS - FRENCH TV) It's in French but the pictures tell the story fine enough. The bit where he slides into the net next to Jean Claude Darcheville is priceless. Then he got into the dicking about videos which are just as funny
  8. Juninho? definitely the most consistent free kick taker. Always seems to get it on target which is the most important thing, make the keeper work, possible rebound if it doesn't go in and all that. French league has been really good this season, nobody's looked invincible and Gourcuf is emerging as the new Zidane. On a completely unrelated note. How come the Burmese aren't better at football? Came across this video and felt compelled to share it but don't know where to post it. This thread'l do seeing as its more than likely read by people who would appreciate these unbelievable skills beats soccer am skill school any day!
  9. I've got total respect for your approach. I also think your designs are great. A very distinctive style that people will recognise if they are exposed to it enough, and the best way for that to happen is to do a shit load of stuff, whether it's paid or not. Good luck to you.
  10. A major factor behind the fact that we don't use bikes as much as they do in, say, holland is surely the terrain. In the benelux region where it's as flat as (insert famous person with no tits here)'s tits you can scoot about without busting a lung. I used to cycle to Uni from out haudegan way. Going was fine, could do a cheeky no handies all the way but coming back was murder, first gear and going like the clappers all the way. The whole country is on a camber it seems. Can't even begin to imagine cycling in Edinburgh as means of commuting. There's a guy at my work who commutes on rollerblades. Remove the whole looking like a bell end thing and its not a bad idea.
  11. It's terribly acted and the jokes are crowbarred in but I could still happily sit and watch ten in a row. In the same way as I can't get enough of that How I Met Your Mother. Scrubs and Arrested Development (god rest its soul) are a million times more clever and better put together but it does make me laugh a lot so can't knock it.
  12. That guy is crazy brainy. He gave a demo of this at one of those TED conferences. Some of the other videos are pretty inspiring/baffling. For all the nerdlingers out there. YouTube - TEDtalksDirector's Channel Closest I've come to doing anything homebrewed with my wii was when the sensor bar stopped working and I found out that two candles placed at either side of the screen works just as well.
  13. They used to have some great 'features' on that show but now it's a shadow of its former self. Instead of two coiffed cocky cunts doing lollipops in front of their mates they should punt a slippery mitre delta up a sludgy pitch and get them to take it under control whilst an angry, 18 stone highland league joiner/centre-half semi-molests them with his elbows from behind. Now that would be proper skill.
  14. it does have a defecatory ring to it.
  15. I'd be disapointed if the joke wasn't made. When someone sets you up like that, you gotta do the right thing and hit it out of the park. *mimes slugging a dinger*
  16. That's like the internet equivalent of 'moving it to the boudoir' I don't like this attention anymore, lets get back to the msn paint jobs and the nob jokes. Thats more my confort zone.
  17. I really am from Aberdeen. Been working here for about a year or so. you?
  18. Too right. What better basis for marriage is there than geographical location?... That and (going by user profile) a mutual love of Genesis. Better be prog era Genesis only otherwise it'll never work Bodast.
  19. 59 represent!! It's me, you and Tony Koumbware.
