  1. Dear John - Pre op cop what a bassline!
  2. Elevation - their opener (can't remember the name, not Spanish, the other one) I don't tire of hearing that tune, even after working in drummonds for ages and seeing them a million times. They perform it so well and have that scally swagger + driving beat + simple chord thing down to a T. Not the greatest band but if we're picking out single songs, it'd be that one. Also the first one off Turning 13's album, one of The Garcias catchy ones and one of Black Atom's that I never bothered finding out the name. Christ, what a pointless post. No song titles whatsoever, apologies.
  3. Wigan were great last night and were only beaten by tactical brilliance from SAF. He realised Berbatov was drifting leaving noone up front, tried to push Ronaldo forward to fill the gap and get in behind, sensed he was having an off day and getting frustrated therefore less likely to score so whacked on terrier Tevez and booyah. Not a man u fan at all, would have liked Wigan to steal it, but hats off to surralex. I'm possibly stepping on well trodden ground but, what do folk think of Berbatov? Personally I think he is a valuable asset to the team when he plays. People say he's lazy but to my mind he uses his energy very efficiently and takes up good positions long before most players would have even spotted them. He rarely gives the ball away and can split defences with a killer pass at will. I reckon next season he could be dynamite when he finds his shootin boots.
  4. Thsi post is gonna set u back a fiver.
  5. 'you got served... with a nice cup of tea'.
  6. *yellow smiley face emoticon rolling about laughing like a fanny*
  7. regarding the toast thing... I suggest you construct some sort of contraption consisting of a cap with a bit of string dangling down from the peak, to suspend the toast in mid air leaving your hands free from the crumb contamination zone. Afterwards, you may find that crumbs accumulating on the floor becomes a problem. Fret not as a simple chin strap plate-come-bib should solve this. I have yet to patent this fail proof system so for the time being it is free to use and until my crumb-free bread prototype is put into production, it really is the only option.
  8. instead of exporting it, I'm pretty sure you can just insert a new audio track, play the midi track solo and record what's playing in the audio track. Does that make sense?

    Formula One 2009

Which is why you rarely see Schumacher listed among the greats of sport despite being so dominant (Roger Federer, Tiger Woods, etc). Still, he was the person driving the thing and he must get pissed off with people demeriting the skill that takes. Surely it's in the interest of the sport to level the playing field so that the best driver wins and I still don't understand how it got to the point where one manufacturer are/were allowed to construct a car that is far superior to another's. Is it the case that it's just a competition between manufacturers and the drivers are of secondary importance? I'm not too hot on the technical side of things in F1, I just enjoy watching the odd grand prix if I think it'll be a good race.
  10. seriously? a towel? what a tool! I'd like to add to the cauldron of hate we are brewing, student friends of mine who don't work yet constantly manage to go on holidays or weekend jaunts to far flung places. Then they are surprised to find out I can't just take time off work on a whim and fuck off with them. This might not be one of those general pet hates that everyone encounters but it's more the lack of appreciation of the value of money and hard work that bugs me and a lot of students, particularly rich ones, are guilty of this. The type of person that says they want to be a student forever so they don't have to work for a living is every bit as bad as the rough minker down at the dole office.
  11. Presumably its for stealthily rocking out in Kabul.
  12. The sheer kamikaze speed of the guy in the first one is really impressive as is the defiance of the threat of splinters in the second. ta for sharing.
  13. I love these alternative readings that pop up. The only other one that comes to mind just now is the reading of the characters in The Thing as addicts of different drugs. Not seen it in a while but remember it being pretty plausible, what with an alcoholic character, speed-freak character, stoner character, etc. anyone know any others? on another note, Ferris bueller is one of those films that is completely flawless. In my opinion the screenplay is every bit as good as Chinatown, which often gets cited as the best ever.
  14. From a purely aesthetic viewpoint, as I know nothing about guitars, that one ^^ looks ace.

    Jason Lee

So is Beck, that's even more disapointing. also, I presume you mean Jason Lee of My Name is Earl fame rather than Jason Lee of 'he's got a pineapple, on his head' fame? Just checking, coz I wouldn't be surprised if the latter had turned to religion considering the stick he used to take.
  16. nice photos. can't beat a bit of hippy tit. I'm trying to decide whether the drummer in photo number 7 is having an orgasm or is just 'in the zone'. where/what was this?
  17. Forget the horrendous melding of musical genres and the hideous fashion, it's the lack of rhythm that bugs me the most. They can't dance for peanuts. Sorting your fringe whilst flapping your other hand up and down is not a dance move.
  18. That sound ace, good luck with it.
  19. TRD umlauts mean instant success
  20. Obviously. The point was that it's been done before.
  21. KUNSTT = FCUK I'm no marketing expert but i'd imagine you should have a stong idea about the identity of your brand before thinking of a name. Who you selling to? What stlye of clothing? etc.
  22. Been on a documentary binge recently. Wathced Jerry Seinfeld's The Comedian which I've been meaning to see for years purely because of the brilliant trailer. Was funny without being hilarious. A must see for stand up fans tho. Rewatched The Five Obstructions, which is still one of my favourite films ever. Not gonna be to everyone's taste but I just love it. A guy remakes the same film five times with different 'obstructions' or pre-requisites each time. It is fascinating. Also wathced Tyson which is just brilliant. It's a feature length monologue interspersed with the best bits of his career. Whether you like him or not or just think he's a mentalist, he has a great story to tell. Currently watching Helvetica, a documentary about funnily enough Helvetica, the font. Pretty interesting so far in an academic BBC 4 talking head type way.
  23. Just watched el highlightos. Some shocking defending on display. The second Real goal will have made Gus Hiddink smile. literally noone moved. Sergio Ramos is just a walking hairdo, I've never rated him.
