AdMo's 4-4-2 works a bloody treat. GK - defend FB - support ; CD - defend ; CD - defend ; FB - support W - atttack ; DLP - defend ; BBM - support ; W - attack DLF - support ; AF - attack Attacking; balanced. Play down the flanks, drill crosses, play narrow, short and slowly. You don't need any outstanding players, just some nice pacey wingers and someone who can pass the ball in the DLP role. You get hunners of goals from the flanks. Give it a try. You should clean house with Celtic. I have some good tactics, but their more reliant on certain players (i.e. you need good players to pull them off).

What are your individual roles within the team though? You probably don't have enough players setting up to attack. What are your philosophies, etc? I'm just interested.

I know, put into perspective, he is still a very rich man, but to think what he might have achieved - and earned - elsewhere shows a true gent of the sport. A dying breed, without a doubt.

Yup. I thought the next round was the playoff, but if we get as far as Sociedad, we play them in the 3rd qualifying round, then a playoff to determine if we get into the group stages!! That's insane. I suppose we only came 3rd in the SPL, not really a big deal in terms of European football. Still.

AEW, last night, before the dons game. I don't know what kind of stalk you'd call this: a shun stalk? I walked past him, literally 3 yards away, and shouted "Adam" about 3 times as he approached me. I even waved my hand next to his face, continuing to go "Adam". Nothing. My Dad was like "do you even know that guy?" I think you might be blind in your right eye, and deaf in your right ear, mate.

United under Van Gaal: De Gea Rafael - Smalling - Jones - Shaw(?) Herrera - Vidal - Kagawa Mata Rooney - RVP Jeepers. Not sure whay's going on in that midfield: only one out and out CM. I agree with Joda, Smalling and Jones or Evans and Jones should be allowed to thrive now, and Van Gaal is good at working with young CBs. He just got a team of young CBs to 3rd place in the World Cup, FFS.

Cahill's volley edges Rodriguez's wonder goal for goal of the tournament for me. My reaction to that Cahill's goal was outstanding. I fell to me knees, put my hands in my hair and shouted "WHAT THE FUCK?!" Yep, Cahill's goal for me.

Yeah, Norwich have got into the top 6 consistently in both my games on FM14, and that's without big bucks.

Anyone had daft shit in their game? England won both the 2014 and 2018 world cups in my game. 40 year old Frank Lampard is still in every England 1st 11 and gets 30+ games a season for Chelsea! John Terry was the manager of Aberdeen for a while too. Rafa Benitez has been Liverpool manager for a 2nd and 3rd time during my game too, getting the sack both times.

I got a 32 year old Rooney to my newly promoted Nottingham Forrest in my last game and he was monstorous for a season - despite hating all my team talks - and then declined rapidly over the summer. He was my worst striker the following season and was on far more than I could afford. Probably a pretty accurate representation of a player who peeks around 24!

I think he's always been fairly rubbish. Still, checked out their performance on youtube last night and thought it was great.
