  1. Diego Costa being 6 months younger than me is bothering. I assume he was at least 30, just a late bloomer. Like the Brazilian/Spanish Ricky Lambert.
  2. Aye they said he was leaps and bounds ahead of the rest in the youth team and played as a striker too?! I remember him mostly as the guy we used to laugh at in the playground because his name was Butt (as in buttocks) and then as a clogger in that shite Newcastle team. Newcastle suck.
  3. I see E'to has ruined everything by opting for the #5 shirt this year. Probably the worst thing to happen since Gallas donned the #10.
  4. I can't see him doing this against Mats Hummels or Per Mertesaker, tbf.
  5. http://www.goalsaim.com/blackburn-vs-bournemouth-3-2-highlights-2014-championship/ Rhodes goal vs Bournemouth at the weekend. That's the kind of goal he scores all the time. Plus it was his 100th appearance for Rovers (and his 54th goal).
  6. I may have my blue and white goggles on here, but I can't understand why Rhodes isn't getting into these squads. Perhaps Strachan doesn't see the passion in him to play for the national team - as he's properly, full on English - but I think he's the second best out and out striker elegible to play for our nation (Naismith isn't a centre forward) and there's not much between he and Fletcher, although they are different players. I think Rhodes is more rounded, whereas Fletcher probably fits Strachan's system a wee bit better. He can easliy fit in to Strachan's system IMO and when he isn't banging in goals, he's holding the ball up well and creating. There's far, far more to his game than an outstanding scoring record (which is undeniably brilliant). He has excellent composure in front of goal which Scotland have desperately needed since Kenny Miller turned 30. I trust Strachan though. This is just one point I can't quite get around.
  7. I think Man U have to and will buy 2-3 players before the window closes. I watched them yesterday and they looked so average. Their central midfield were horrific. Cleverley would probably get a game for The Dons, I guess, biut that was one of his better performances IMO, and he was still terrible. Jones was very good, but I worry he'll get caught out against a better team: he comes right into midfield to win the ball back - because Fletcher and Cleverley weren't tbf - and at times only had Blackett and Keane in cover. Chelsea/City/Spurs/Liverpool/Everton will capitalise on that. I thought Spurs were absolutely brilliant. I only saw the first half, but they look monstorous going forward. CB pairing of Kaboul and Vertonghen seems to work brilliantly in Maz Potts' system. QPR were bad, but Spurs looked very, very hard to play against.
  8. I'm pretty nervous. Some big scores last week so much catching up to do.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qZ2p8_4pqTI&feature=youtu.be Nothin is as telling and creepy as this video about Gary Glitter. Gives me a the boak.
  10. I'm so angry: Mertesaker and Koscielny were meant to start and get subbed off if the didn't play, as both were doubtful, but somehow Koscielny has filled the position of my 3rd substitute instead of starting like he was meant to. So pissed off. I'm not actually suggesting the site fucked up, it was obviously my fault. I just don't know how the fuck it happened. I celebrated his goal like a winning dons goal.
  11. Your Ma's a FC Szezesny Koscielny - Distin - Azpilicueta - Mertesaker Hazard © - Henderson - Eriksen - Gouffran Rooney - Diego Costa Bench: Green, Wickham, Vlaar, Wanayama
  12. Ok, I'll join in. i always loose interest about a quarter of the way through the season though.
  13. I think my record is the 6 seasons I've just done!! My FM13 game went to 2031, but with 5-6 different clubs. I ended up at Man U, who were so dominant that I started playing with 1930s tactics (2-3-5) and wtill won.
  14. Nah, I adopt a strict only saving when I'm done playing philosophy. Its too easy and tempting to backtrack. I think its more interesting and fun when you make mistakes: like leaving a club you've spent 6 seasons carefully building, or signing Fernando Torres. On my old computer I used to save every 10 minutes as it always overheated!!
  15. Yeah, good point! I guess I'll just play 4-1-4-1, but with all attacking midfielders instead of central midfielders!
  16. Nah, I tend to just assign the role. Occassionally I'll give a player a specific instruction to utilise a particular attribute or to counter a specific threat, but not very often.
