  1. Look, I like and respect you as a friend and a musician, but DWELLER were absolutely horrid. Obviously you were appealing to the kids, so kudos, but fuck me that was some bad music. A few other bands I dislkie include friends as members, so I maintain that I don't want to upset anyone. At least I know Uzi won't care/can take it. Sidca were comically bad the two times I've seen them. I don't understand what people see in them. No riffs, no hooks, terrible drummer. Too many 2-piece bands have terrible drummers. You have to be shit hot at your instrument to play in a 2-piece, in my opinion.
  2. Deportees are probably the best band IMNSHO, although I've yet to see them in their new format with a different lead singer. Derpdrinker and Absolutist are fucking mint. Absolutist are pretty much the only band doing what they do that I genuinely enjoy. Goosebump inducing stuff. Let's see... Marionettes are a class act. Min Diesel make me happy. I enjoy Das MacManus. BOAK were pretty groovy. Ashley Park has sick chops. There are about 3 local acts that I just can't abide, but I shan't mention their names. I just completely don't see the appeal.
  3. Not including sports games/Football Manager (that's not a game, it's a way of life) I'd have to say: Final Fantasy 7 Resident Evil 4 Metal Gear Solid Skyrim Bioshock Infinite (probably 'cause it's so fresh in the brain).

    2013/2014 Season

I was about to question your inclusion of Andy cole, when I realised Tugay would probably make my top 10, and he used to play for The Huns. That's some serious man love.

Shearer has to make a top 5 list, surely? Not only is he the top scorer ever in the PL, but predominantly for Newcastle, Blackburn and Southampton. The vast majority of his goals were at Newcastle, the biggest club in that list, but still: not exactly Man United or Arsenal. Then add in the fact that he had a very serious injury that could have ruined his career in the top flight, but he adapted his role to a target man and continued to bang them in.

My Dad, who knows his shit about soccer, reckons Bergkamp is the best player to ever play in the Premier League (also and Arsenal sympathiser).
  7. When I was 5 years old I fell at my friend's house and cracked my skull oepn on a rock. To try and calm me down, my friend's mother put on Land Before Time to try and calm me down. So yeah, I cried then. This is actually a true story.
  8. Anyone want to swap their PS3 for my 360 for a while? I just really want to play The Last of Us and Metal Gear 4.
  9. Marley and Me expunged years of self-imposed, adulthood emotional repression. I was heaving with tears for about half an hour after the film ended. My girlfriend was really worried about me. I think, more than anything, it reminded me a lot of losing my own dog, which happened when I was on holiday. I loved that dog more than anything and don't think I had a chance to fully grieve her passing, as I was away when it happened. As it happens, I was in Amsterdam on said holiday. My mum phoned me at about 10am the morning after a head full of booze and drugs. That was a pretty brutal moment. When left for amsterdam, I had already got into my car and started my engine when I realised I hadn't said bye to Corrie. I put the engine off and went straight back in the house to give her a cuddle as i suppose i had a feeling it'd be our last. Oh God, I miss my dog.

    Sochi 2014

We're all cheering on my boy Ben Kilner in the halfpipe. A good friend from school, who came 8th in 2010. Here's hoping he can break into the top 4 (although I don't think he's expected to). Shaun Whyte will win it again, Ben says he can do stuff that no-one else comes close to.

    I love how they're numbered 13, 17 and 19.
  12. After a fairly indifferent first half of the 15/16 season at Aberdeen, I went on a run from January where I only failed to get 3 points once (at home to St Mirren, or something ridiculous) and won the leage with three games to go, humping the old firm in their own back yards along the way. Got knocked out of both cups and europa league fairly early, which gave me a huge advantage over Celtic. Rangers went the opposite way after January, having led the league table for most of the season. It's down to a 4-1-2-2-1 formation that has worked extremely well with my players. Cameron Stewart, signed on a free from Hull, was my top scorer from right wing with 19 goals in all competitions. He made Strachan's squad for the Euro Champs and then got crocked against Dundee United after we'd already won the league. Gutted for the lad. Failed to keep any of my strikers fit, so rotated a lot. They got a shitload of goals between the 4 of them. Karim Rekik and Godsway Donyoh on free loans from my parent club Man City were huge coups as well. I've also got big names in Ryo Myaichi, Joe Flanagan and Matthew Briggs, who were all worth their wages. Going to stay next season, despit being offered lots of interviews from Premier League and Championship clubs. Want to try and get us out our Champion's League group. That's going to be big money! Can't believe I won the SPL with Aberdeen. didn't even look nearly likely until Celtic fell away around March. Stoked.

    TV Series!!

Oh God, is that what happens to Parks and Rec? I watched the first two episodes and couldn't believe how much it ripped off US Office. Is it worth persisting with? B99 is pretty hit and miss, but as Old Gold says, is frequently saved just by Andy Samberg's face. It's similar with Will Ferrell and Jason Segel; their faces just make me laugh. I freaking love both the chicks in that programme. The Captain's assistant is too annoying for words, however.

  15. Fucking love Primus. This video at Woodstock '94 is amazing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8gYu13uVL_4 Wes Claypool is so fucking cool.
  16. Hearts finished 10th in 2013/2014 in my game! Aberdeen are fairly easy to use. Celtic only clinched the title in my second season after 36 games. It's got to be nigh on impossible to win the SPL in a season with anyone other than Celtic! I managed to get a link with Man City and signed their kids on loan, as well as bringing in astute free signings, so it wasn't that difficult to build a strong and deep squad. I must admit, I've found this game a lot easier than past iterations. Coming 2nd two seasons running, winning both domestic cups (Scottish cup twice) and reaching the last 16 in Europa League is better than I've done in my first two seasons at The Dons in previous versions.

It's just that Samaras can be comically, laugh out loud bad, at times. Seeing him play for Barcelona would be funny. Imagine he went there and was totally amazing! Galloping around, running into things and cutting off all his passing options, but then just pulling a bit of magic out the bag.
