  1. You know Paul; i never thought I'd be complementing anyone on a song about anal thrush. But i am all the same. It sounds great with the band (though is there actually a bands worth of people playing). Either way sounds good. Not many people can write funny songs. I salute you. Diarmaid
  2. To be honest, you dont get a sound check but you get a quick check off all the separate levels. Why would you need anything else? We've had soundchecks in other venues but id say the Moorings had the best sound in comparison. Big up the pirates. D
  3. In otherwards, i feel a petition should be written up proposing that 12 days of fudgemass replaces its 'Christmas' counterpart as the traditional song to sing. So yeah, lets graphically put the 12 days of christmas to death. D
  4. I think the twelve days of christmas has officially been put to shame. Long live political incorrectness and being down right rude and make christmas jolly and fat again.
  5. In the words of Flash the Pirate; if you like VD (something something something) heres HalfJack. And they've got a new song and everything. Check it out and let us know what you think. www.myspace.com/halfj Diarmaid HalfJack

  8. Well for your sake, lets hope you never write something as shite as Jake. Only just got the album now in time for the gig. It is good. New Flesh and Slaughtered Authors are the best. Sweetest song however just makes me laugh. D
  9. Not that I'm complaining but hugely suprised that Weezer got so high up. Good old Rivers. And even more so Ben Folds for that matter. Though again not complaining, both were in my top ten.
  10. Pity It upsets me I'm skint and won't get paid till the day after the Moshulu gig. Though had a listen to hte excerpts on itunes. Hopefully they were the worst excerpts they could choose, cause nothing majorly stood out. But I desire to be proven wrong. D
  11. That was harder than i thought... The Wildhearts Jeff Buckley Ben Folds Five Red Hot Chili Peppers The Beatles P-Funk hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Weezer Johnny Cash Therapy? Divine Comedy
  12. All They all pulled out? Mother of god. Poor suckerpunch. Ah well. Still rock i imagine.
  13. All for a good cause to raise money for jailbreak which has all its proceeds go to charities across the north east. The mighty Paul Thain of Onion Terror shall be laying out some acoustic love for the audience before HalfJack go and make some noise. Should be good.
  14. Hey. Anyone else confirmed to be playing at Kef on March the 2nd? Just wondered who else was playing. Cheers. D
  15. gig dates Hey. We'd be interested in the 23rd of march gig. What are the details? www.myspace.com/halfj Diarmaid HalfJackx

  18. Aberdeen setlist Hey, does any one remember all the songs played at kef on monday night? Importantly the second half. To busy enjoying my self. It would help a lot. Cheers D
  19. Any one else as purely ecstatic and drooling at the news...Ginger Wildheart is coming to Aberdeen. Fuck yeah.
  20. ...or a little further of you so wish. Looking for bassist to join pop jazz rock piano trio. Anyone interested in the job who likes catchy interesting tunes, cracking harmonies and a good laugh give me a pm. Cheers Nick Kirk and the Quirks Dx
  21. Hey there. Trying to find a couple of guys or guyettes interested in, as the title suggests, playing in a rock, pop, jazz piano trio. Influences, not necesarily sounding like though, Ben Folds, Rufus Wainwright, Dresden Dolls, Divine Comedy etc etc. Like not love swing and jazz but generally pop rocking and rollin. Guys or girls. Bassist wise uprights more than welcome. Drumming wise, well drums. If interested give me a pm or reply here. Cheers. Dx
  22. Hey, I'm looking for anyone interested in joining an already formed 3-piece rock, funk outfit to alternate between lead guitar on some stuff and vocalist on some others. If your interested give me a pm and ill direct you to the tunes on myspace (just rough demos'll get the idea if you like) and you can have a listen and I'll explain some more. All original material and band open for collaborative input. Cheers D
  23. The Wild Hot Queens with Buckles and Bells Guitar & Vocals: Ginger Lead Guitar: Frusciante Bass: Nick Oliveri Drums: Matt Johnson Backing vocals: Lisa Kekaulu (can never remember her being te or ke) Dx
  24. I think the songs great. But then I think Carly Simon, Joni Mitchell and KT Tunstall are great. And whats wrong with deliberately getting a year wrong in a song if your going for it to sound good. Songs don't have to be accurate, though granted it can sometimes help. And yeah, to avoid argument, she might just have got it wrong. Dx
