  1. I'd say the majority of my music listening is down on the move when listening to my i-pod. Though I'm sill a cd man rather than downloading. Other than that its when I'm lying in my bed falling asleep. Dx
  2. Yeah i've checked the boy lacks patience out. He's good. Pity I missed him playing last night at the tunnels. Any one go? Oh yeah, if you like Jesusland have a listen to 'the ascent of stan' of Ben Folds Rockin the Suburbs Album. Similar song. Dx oh and i agree, it is a bit daft, but hey i changed my mind half way through...
  3. Cheers, I'll have to investigate cause off that list I know only of Ms Sawyers. Cheers Dx
  4. Music Tastes... Here's the top ten artistes in my CD collection: Ben Folds Jeff Buckley Rufus Wainwright Ginger of Wildhearts; Silver Ginger 5 and solo... QOTSA Deftones Bellrays primarily just because Lisa Kekaula has the sexiest female voice in the world. Beastie Boys Bright Eyes Therapy? So pretty wide spanning. Though also like Dub War, Weezer, Divine Comedy, Ian Dury and The Blockheads, Burt Bacharach, George Gershwin, The Schitzophonics, Iggy Pop, Elton John, Billy Joel, Metallica, Led Zeppelin...oh and Simon and Garfunkel. There you go, my musical taste partly summed up. Dx
  5. Just curious, but how many people in and around Aberdeen are there that would consider themselves solo singer/songwriters piano/guitar or otherwise. The only one ive ever seen is the, as drummonds refer to him as, Legend That Is John Otway. Or is aberdeen merely just the land of the band... Dx
  6. Kazakstan Crazies The firs gig i ever went to was in 2004 in the Lemon Tree when i was working fr the Aberdeen Festival. There were these two local bands (I presume) who were supporting one of the festival acts which was a fucked up and bizzare rock band from Kazakstan (god knows the spelling) who were fronted by this skimpily dressed woman who looked like tia carrera dancing and playing the violin. Not the first aberdonian gig experience id hoped for. Though first one when i lived here was last October when i went to see my friends band Aveda at Kef. I subsequently stole the drummer. Dx
  7. Favourite Band I agree with at least one other person here as my favourite band is Ben Folds Five (or on other days the Wildhearts). Though I'm more of a artist kinda guy with Jeff Buckley,Folds, Ginger and Rufus Wainwrigt being my favourite. D
