  1. Thanks very much. Yeah, Eyes shut tight is more than likely going to stay the way it is, except for the vocals. Just shoved up a couple others now too. Again, just rough DEMOS. Will eventually do some decent recording.
  2. Just thought I'd shove these up. See what people think. Maybe someone likes them maybe not. I may well not keep either of them but thought I'd post them anyway. If anyone does like them, result. Ones an instrumental or a song with no lyrics as of yet, and the others actually a song. There both a bit rough but hey. 3. Looking for a drummer to join a three piece piano/bass/drums pop band. Think Ben Folds, Rufus Wainwright, Jellyfish, Divine Comedy, Randy Newman etc. Being able to sing would be bonus. Theres some demos at The Mighty Aphrodites on MySpace Music - Free Streaming MP3s, Pictures & Music Downloads If you fancy it give me a pm or email me on diarmaidogallagher@gmail.com Cheers
  4. There is a poster advertising it outside Fitzpatricks. Would be quite amusing if they were lying in an attempt just to fill the place up. Then to find themselves full to the brim with angry pogues fans demanding Shane.
  5. Hey Brian. What dates Mr Man 'Almighty' coming to The Moorings again? Or have I completely missed the bastard?
  6. Always thought one of the main things about gigging etiquette was arrive and do what you're told.
  7. Aye, clearly despite lacklustre interest, it was always going to be best released as a double feature. I was gutted when they got split in two, then hugely excited at getting to see it as the orginal thing.
  8. Went to see the full thing when vue showed it last year. And aye, much better than the two seperately. Worth the ticket judt for the Thanksgiving trailer. Absolutely brilliant.
  9. You never give me your money - Abbey Road And your bird can sing - Revolver Revolution - White Album Sexy Sadie - White Album For no one - Revolver
  10. Absolute fucking genius. Well close enough at least. There with bells on.
  11. Glad to hear it went swimmingly Colin. Shall definitely be down for the next one. Uni exams really do kick nights out in the balls. D
  12. Hey there. Wanting to get back into live playing having not done any in about a year. Starting up own band but would love to play as much as possible. Been playing for about 12 years. Not necessarily looking to join any band, but it would be cool to do so. But even if anyone fancies getting a keys player in for the occasional one off gig or some recording as a session musician, or anything on a more permanent basis then fire me a message on here or at my email which is diarmaidogallagher@gmail.com Not altogether fussed about the style of music. Just love playing and the more different styles the better it is for me. Though in saying that I'm not sure how mch use I'd be as a keys player in a DreamTheatre style band, but hey, I'd give it a shot. So let me know if you fancy it. Cheers D
  13. Usernames rather self explanatory but rock star name would be 'Nancy Goatfield' which is just odd.
  14. Aye Colin great gig. Couldn't stick around after Super Six... finished but had to shoot the craw. As for acts, was thinking that once I get this band of mine up and running in the next few months, your night may be the best place for old school duke ellington jazz, soul music and pop. What d'you think? D
  15. Looks set to be a fantastic evening. See you there Colin.
  16. Well done for The Tyrant Lizard Kings. Quite the support slot.
  17. One of the main ideas I had in my head was for guitar like a lot of early Queen stuff, such as good old fashioned lover boy, killer queen etc, and Jellyfish. Not to say these songs sound anything like either Queen or Jellyfish. But a lead guitar doing all the ornamental bits and bobs, and anything else, such as solos, and oopmhing up the riffs. I'm a guitarist but couldn't really figure anything out for the piano songs. What you think of the Demos?
  18. If thats you check out MySpace.com - The Mighty Mighty Aphrodites - Aberdeen/Glasgow/Edinburgh, UK - Rock / Soul / Powerpop - www.myspace.com/themightymightyaphrodites Theres some demos on the page to give you an idea. Cheers D
  19. Can't think of weirdest off the top of my head but Science of Sleep is pretty fucking mental.
