  1. might also just add, that link suggests it comes with Cubase LE, and well mines just didnt...lol
  2. Hey when i say brand new i mean i got it 2 days ago, have used it at home about 3 times and decided that i really dont need this. as most of you know im an active vocalist, and just a guitar player in my spare time. kinda went on a mad spending spree and bought one of these to go with my new 7 string, but its really not for me...its more for a more serious guitarist, and i just cant justify the desk space/price etc So im selling it on! bought it brand new in box on ebay 4 days ago for 245, but willing to take 210 for it OVNO it is a really fucking good piece of kit like, full metal chasis, loads of features, and also can be used as a USB recording interface!! handy as fuck, im not gonna say much more ill just link you to this! G7.1ut Geez a text on 07867 512787 or email: Rickicaz1279@hotmail.com Cheers!
  3. hey norseman if you email fraseredwardsgtr@googlemail.com he'll be able to sort you out a copy through paypal or something!
  4. oh no sorry i wasnt saying yours was crap lol, id imagine yours is probably a lot better than ours i mean, it was light as a feather and the body was made from cheap plastic...
  5. yeah thats totally fine man! we'd appreciate that Gonna be debuting a couple of the new songs from the upcoming new EP we're recording in feb to so its gunna be a monster show hah!
  6. Doc from Ascension got one of those fake sm57's off ebay once, thinking it was real...only when we compared to a real one did we realise how "real" it was(nt) LOL
  7. Im sure both rock nights are just as good as each other, but Korova wins my heart for several reasos. one of them being Its a change of atmosphere after going to moshulu (warehouse) for years on end But my main beef is still with the warehouse bouncers, particularly the little bald one, hes a cock end, and warehouse/shulu refuse to do anything about him, despite most peoples beef with him. As for the warehouse rock night itself, im sure its bangin, i just refuse to go back there as long as that cunt works there. its not even a personal fued...i always seem to hear stories about him being a knob ranging from accusing people of hitting him/stealing tenners dropped in front of him and denying it/throwing some random guy out because he apparently " laughed at him " on the way in...etc etc its always the same guy to but anyway, the rock nights themselves, never had a problem with korova's one, friendly as fuck, and love the atmosphere ( on fridays mainly! ) so im not about to leave and try the rampage one, but im sure its just as good and i hear good things
  8. Hero next door promotions are once again raising money for a great charity, Papyrus, prevention of young suicide! As some of you may know, Ascension recently released a cover single of Roxette's "Listen to your heart" to raise money for papyrus, and raise awareness of suicide, and also in memory of a dear friend of our guitarist, fraser, who took his own life only a few months ago. These singles will be available to buy from the gig for 2.50, with profits going to papyrus. But yes! the gig.... It will be held at The Tunnels on Friday 29th January 2010, with entry sitting at a tidy 3 Doors will be at 7pm and will feature 5 great Aberdeen metal bands, with Ascension headlining the event. look forward to sets from Eternal Idol, Death Watch, Emeritus and Downfall to! This is a really good cause, and its a friday night so no excuses! if you love metal, THIS is the place to be on friday night before the usual drunken antics Hope to see you there! - Ricki & Ascension
  9. Warehouse is attrocious and diabolical Korova is good for getting wrecked on a friday but not as a live music venue... Moorings gets my vote, consistently good sound, excellent atmosphere, looks after the bands well Tunnels is also a good venue, but moorings takes the biscuit.
  10. Cheers for the continuing support Sturtpot and cheers to everyone else voting Ascension ill be happy if any of us win tbh, definatly a good lineup for MMOM!
  11. Yeah we're going back to seagate in january to finish our Alchemy EP
  12. Dead metal were a good addition to the Metal scene in aberdeen, its a shame they couldnt carry on. sound guys to! Voted
  13. BBC News - Weekend drinking crime crackdown 'working' this cant be right surely...
  14. i remember reading once in the papers about a young lad around 17 who was imprisoned for a stabbing. he was let out for "good behaviour" only like, 10 months later or something and within HALF AN HOUR of being released, he had stabbed someone else and killed them. I think to be honest, anyone who goes out and intentionally tries to kill or seriously injur someone for no apparent reason, needs to be booked into the nearest mental asylum and have their fucking brain re-wired. these people are not fit to be in our community or society. forget all this community service, and 3 month prison sentences etc. having said all that i really dont think anything will deter these maniacs from doing what they do. they are fucked up in the head.
  15. i signed a petition on facebook the other day for this, probably the same one! hope so anyway its comedy how when you scroll down the signatures you see half the folk you know lol.
  16. yeah our Ascension one looks really good, but its a bit small at the moment. definatly need to get a big one, i think ours is 2 or 3ft by like 6. cant remember....it was expensive even for that though! 170+ i think. definatly go with that place fraser suggested, the quality is awesome, proper polyester fabric, no tarpaulin or cheap plastic shite. its stood up to all the festivals, gigs and our last tour we've used it at and still looks brand new lol!
  17. i thought you were selling your iron cobra's with this kit to clarrisa but if your not, thats a fair price, i was gonna slate you for selling it with your cobra's to for 200 haha! if you are, dont...
  18. Update: We're headlining at the tunnels on friday 29th January for Hero Next Door promotions, raising money for Papyrus, so its a charity gig! It will be a metal night, and im really hoping lots n lots of folk go. we'll be flogging copies of the new single to raise money for papyrus also, and hopefully some of our own stuff to. its gonna be an amazing night. we will be playing this song live to amongst some other new songs we've finally scraped from the composition barrel haha!! i know its a long way away, but just sticking it in yer minds for the new
  19. 20. here's a wee look at the single cover art for you, for anyone whos thinking of getting a hardcopy when its out.
  21. was in today for a few hours, still a few shops to be opened like i quite liked it best bits: Handmade burger co. upstairs, its a bit pricey, but the burgers are AMAZING, like, truly awesome. also quite like that cult clothes shop, and the apple store, though a bit crowded, was pretty cool to.]] it does make that certain area of town look a LOT better if nothing else. but i think its really good, i expect this saturday it will be mobbed to fuck.
  22. This song's probably one of my better vocal performances not very Ascension stylee, but im real happy with how this one turned out hope everyone enjoys it, might also just add anyone who does order a hard copy, it might take a couple weeks for you to get it as they are currently still being duplicated. should be selling these at gigs to to raise money for Papyrus! remember, 8th November at cafe drummonds!!
  23. "Hey guys. You've booked a gig at the legion in netherton which makes you in breach of our contract with you. You cannot book gigs within 3 weeks of the date of our gig for obvious reasons. If you want to play venues like that boozer with cowboy promoters like gigz then be my guest, but us and other barfly promoters will not work with you and you will not get shows at the barfly supporting bands like This Endless Sea. You need to cancel that gig straight away in order to play barfly. Please confirm you have done so. Sam @ Redland Promotions/Barfly" Quote taken frmo one of those links that was an email sent to a band playing at one of his venues. what a twat!!! that guy sounds like an absolute tool, even more of a tool then i thought he was This is exactly why i started this thread init
  24. thats a real good vid of us, except doc drunkenly mashing his fingers at the solo lol!
