  3. I just like a good tune, man! Well there is that, but I usually know instantly what I like, whether it be dirty rock n roll or whatever. There's a definite SOUND that I like, or a groove, it's hard to pinpoint. If I could think of one tune at the moment that gets me everytime, it's 'Taste' by Ride, ironically, given the subject of the thread! That's my taste. Well, a taster of my taste anyway! 8)

  5. Bluesxman, I agree that it'll be held to be a great record to come out of that era, but I still think it's underrated in the grand scheme of things. In terms of a completely underrated record, then I think that 'Carnival Of Light' is by far the most underrated record I own. Completely blown out of the sky by a certain Definitely Maybe in '94. Interestingly, I'd heard a lot of shite about 'Tarantula' before I bought it, but it's actually not a bad rock n roll record at all, there's a couple of great tracks on it. A bit of a 'lost' album, it was taken out of circulation not long after its release. They've all been re-issued recently. Some of the unreleased stuff on the box set is blinding, 'Something's Burning' and 'She's So Fine' are stunning. There's a great cover of the Velvet's 'New Age' too. I actually watched the 'Live At Brixton Academy' gig the other day. 'Leave Them All Behind', what a monumental set opener!!!! 8) p.s. watch out for Mark Gardener's debut album, 'These Beautiful Ghosts'! www.myspace.com/markgardener
  6. One of the greatest underrated albums of all time. Discuss.
  7. Nah, I think Disposable Mohammed are at Monnow Valley studios in Wales just now, recording their third EP. I canna really mind what it's called, rumoured to be the 'Psychedelic Spectacles EP', but I need to speak to their manager Hug Dudson about it first. They were certainly initially spotted by Don Ronald before the release of their debut EP released on independent label 'Something Akin To A Triangle' Records. Probably too late for a festival slot this year unfortunately, but hopefully they'll be on the road in the Autumn.

The last time it happened, grown men were weeping, policemen were turning in their badges......well just remember, their motto is to protect and serve...."
