Hard to describe, but a brilliant groove! 8. Yeah, I reckon he'll fill it nae bother. There's tonnes of Roses/Brown fans in Aberdeen alone, and if you think of the amount of folk in the region as well as up North who would come down to the gig, I think it's inevitable that it'll be a sell-out. And I also think a lot of folk who were either into the Roses back in the day, as well as folk who have now moved on to going to see house DJs etc as their idea of a night out (I know several) will make a point of going to this gig. I'm going to the MEN Arena gig tomorrow, can't wait. And also, the fact that the AECC gig is on a Saturday night, will also bring the punters in. Promises to be a richt good boonce!
  9. I don't touch the stuff any more, apart from maybe a can here and there before football or something. Not mixed with alcohol though, danger. And certainly not on top of white wine. Lessons.......
  10. Is The Outsider by Albert Camus? If so, I had to read that in Higher French 5/6 years ago and thought it was ace! English version hidden under the desk in class!!
  11. Haha! That's ma loon! G'oan The Carpets!
  12. I got a ticket at about 6pm before the gig. If I had really wanted to go, I would've got a ticket when they went onsale but I wasn't overly excited to be honest. Then on Monday, I spotted Edith Bowman and the Editors frontman on Union Street at lunchtime. Was gonna try and blag some tickets, but they ran across the road and were lost! Got a phonecall at 6pm offering me a ticket. Must've been fate! Didn't see much of the 1990s. I thought Editors were pretty cool. I've got their record. Nae impressed wi the shitey dance moves mind you! Liked their 'wall of sound' at the end of some of their tracks which reminded me of a great band from Oxford with four letters beginning with R... Impressive live, even though I'm not really into them in a big way. 'All Sparks' was quality. As for Franz, I really can't knock them. Again, not really a fan, but thought they were really entertaining live, and there's really not a band like them. Doing what they do best, 'making music for girls to dance to' Definitely better than a night in front of the TV. Although not a huge fan of the bands, very entertaining night and glad I went.

  21. There's tonnes of ace lyrics, particularly by The Smiths, but my fav lyrics of the mo are the opening few to Ride's 'Like A Daydream'. Dunno why, I just think they're cool. "The way your hair hangs down it hides away your face For you it's perfect when it seems like such a waste And when I see you gliding past I make my plans And then my plans slip through my fingers just like sand"
  22. 1. Shine A Light - The Rolling Stones 2. Stop Me If You Think You've Heard This One Before - The Smiths 3. Gospel Song - Black Rebel Motorcycle Club (The tune of 2005 so far) 4.
