I'm not sure but the lassie that sits behind me at work's boyfriend was knocked over at the pedestrian crossing at causewayend a couple of days ago. It was a hit and run and the driver also rammed another car off the road apparently. Maybe thats what the signs are about - although I haven't been down that way myself so I haven't seen them.

What the hell is a gonk? I feel undereducated! I got the time of my credit standard grade maths wrong, and wandered in an hour late. Everyone was glaring at me - it was a bit scary. They gave me extra time for the exam but I was finished before most of the folk there. Managed to get a semi-respectable 2 so all was well.

You are right TV Tanned, I've never met him, or any of the other BB contestants. I think it takes a certain type of person to want all that attention & money & want to be on the telly and until I meet at least one of them who changes my mind, my opinion won't change - sorry.

I used to do a good 3 hour set when I was in a covers band - it was expected, any less than that and you didn't get paid but that was a long time ago when I was younger and fitter and could do acrobatics on stage for that long! If you are the only band playing It's a whole diffrent kettle of fish to a gig with 2 or more bands. I think Cloud needs a common sense transplant then he would know this. I love support slots Only have to play your favourite few tunes you get the gig over with early, leaving plenty of drinking time There is a diffrent crowd of folks to usual come along The adrenaline has worn off by bedtime, and you can actually sleep instead of staying up all night then having the challenge of trying to make yourself look vaguely presentable for work in the morning, while still drunk and having had no sleep.

Well I haven't seen the offending cartoon, but it strikes me that maybe some people took a joke a bit over-serously and got offended. Silly really!I'm not religious and therfore I think it's fine to blaspheme. Religious people should respect the opinions of others instead of dictating their way all the time, or throwing wobblers for no reason. The idea of religion is proposterous to anyone who wasn't brought up with it, but seems to be imperitive to those who were........weird

Yeah I find that a bit patronising really. Football is easy enough for blokes to understand so therfore us women have nae bother understanding at all, we just choose not to because football is boring and moronic.
