  1. I get a lotta classical guitar stuff off the net (usually more accurate than tab). There just isn't anywhere to buy it (I know Bruce Millers has a selection, but nothing if you are better than Grade 5!). I'm very sad indeed, time to do some serious downloading before it's too late. I think maybe there will be sites set up in different countries to avoid the law, you never know your luck.
  2. They wont take my blood either. A shame because I've had a pretty major transfusion ( 8 pints) and I want to give it back. Plus I'm O negative (universal blood type) so I'm sure thats useful. Stupid Rules!! They're shooting themselves in the proverbial foot.
  3. Hiya T, Just thought I'd bump this up the forum for you! See you later.
  4. I've got a Sony Ericsson 68i you could have. It's only a year and a half old but I hate it! You are welcome to it for nothing. (Well on second thoughts - maybe some beer)
  5. Just got an e-mail from bloodstock. They are looking for unsigned metal bands for next years festival and offering free publicity for all! Are you in a band and want to play BLOODSTOCK06? BLOODSTOCK is a festival run by fans for fans. We present an unsigned/independent labels band stage where there is a chance to play on Saturday 30th September for a 30 minute set. Up to 12 unsigned bands are selected to play. This year we are going to raffle 2 places on the bill at BLOODSTOCK 2006. All you need to do is : 1. Purchase 1 or more tickets at 51 each for the event from the festival website at www.bloodstockfestival.com 2. email me vince@bloodstock.uk.com to let me know you have purchased a ticket and stating the name of your band. If you have already purchased a ticket and are in a band and want to take advantage of entering the raffle then again email me. 3. Send a demo pack to BLOODSTOCK, 100 Swingate, Kimberley, Nottingham, NG16 2PQ. What we will then do is: 1. Enter your band into the raffle. 2. Guarantee to listen to your demo objectively (We do receive 100's if not 1000's each year) 3. Place your band info and link on our website, under a section relating to the bands who enter the raffle. This will offer you exposure to the BLOODSTOCK fanbase. What happens if you win: 1. We will refund your entry fee. 2. Your band will play BLOODSTOCK06 in September. 3. We guarantee you will have a fantastic time! What happens if you do not win: 1. You have a ticket which can be used to come to the festival. OR you can sell on to someone else if you cannot make it, effectively getting you your money back. 2. You have had a lot of exposure to 1000's of our festival fans. 3. Enter your band again for 2007. Good Luck! N.B. 2 bands have entered so far: TALAMASCA // no website presence yet. BLACK WIDOW U.S.A. // www.BlackWidowMetal.com
  6. If you want a quality recording, the only place to go is the Mill at Banchory. Quality through & through and with any luck you will have Niall from Pallas producing it for you. Last time I was there it was 25 an hour but worth every penny.
  7. Three Inches of Blood were amazing! but as a girl in the moshpit, not only was I bruised from the pricks bein over-zealous with thier moshing but I was also groped in a very displeasing manner on more than one occasion. Whats the crack with that? what do you hope to achieve by bruising some chicks tits? Also I think because there wasnt a bar to mosh up against at the front, the people at the front had to push back to a certain extent (just to stay upright)which made people a bit further back push forward which made it a bit crazier than your average pit. Poor show on the organisational front - Did they expect everyone not to mosh? surely not!
  8. Well speaking as a girl, I think the kiniving/lying/emotional trauma you blokes inflict hurts far worse than anything you could do physically. I'd rather take the slap - it heals quicker. But thats just my opinion - I know everyone will disagree with me!
  9. Well maybe you aren't exactly good looking either but I bet you wouldn't like to be posted on the internet for everyone to laugh at! The poor dog can't even defend himself shame on you all!
  10. Its just a dog wi no hair - why is everyone so repulsed?
  11. I thoroughly approve of all your EH pedals - They all rock. Tried a double muff yet?
  12. Never mind Helloween - We've all been listening to them for years. Have you heard the new album by GammaRay? (Helloween's offspring) It rocks man - Go and buy it NOW
  13. The thing you have to remember with any acoustic instrument is that the wood makes the sound (and the space inbetween the wood of course) and you can play 100 cheap guitars and they will be shit, but if 1 of them happens to have the wood matched up (either by skill or by accident) it will sound fantastic. I don't know how any manufacturer can put model numbers on acoustic instruments. they are all made of different bits of wood and will all sound different. There was an incident I remeber back in the nineties involving a cheap 10 Chinese factory violin. It happened purely by chance to have the wood matched up perfectly and the lucky sod who bought it, later sold at auction for 180,000! The moral of the story? - play before you buy!
  14. Don't forget 3 Inches of Blood and Himsa at Moshulu on the 10th December. Hurrah!!!
  15. Don't buy a Yamaha, I've been playin Classical guitar for 22 years and I've never seen one thats any good. Go for a Cuenca - They don't make shit!
  16. With the right gear you can go anywhere in Scotland at any time o year - you should try it. it's quite fun bein up the hills in some bad weather. The bothy's are far more funr when u need them to survive!
  17. I've often wonder why I have to keep mine covered - I'm not shy and I like them flopping free and I am rarely to be found at home with much clothes on - I think I'm a closet naturist. Clothes are practical at this time of year though - brrrrrrrrr
  18. I'm 26, Went to Golspie High School up in the highlands (When I could be bothered) and been living in Aberdeen for 10 years - Longer than I have lived anywhere so I feel more like a quine than a lassie these days.
  19. I can't access your website from work - blocked by websense, and I don't have a computer at home so therefore this site is better for me.
  20. I know! I'm forced to listen to Northsound 2 for 37 1/2 hours a week! Any lawyers out there know if I can sue for emotional trauma??
